Dec Movie Release Review!

Last month to see if anything can save 2018 for me in theaters. Here we go!

This looks like ultra-garbage to me. Nothing about it looks interesting. All the more content to skip it when it comes out.
If it were up to me, I'd be skipping this one too but Megan wants to see it bad....and not because she's an Aquaman fan. It looks HORRIBLE though. Guess I'll quietly eat my popcorn and pray for a short running time while I'm with her.
No. I said I was done with the Transformers movies after the last AWFUL film. But I may Redbox this since I hear it's the last one before they (sigh) reboot the series again, proving NOTHING can die in  the world of movie franchises.
Nope. Not seeing this one either. Megan's on her own if she wants to watch this. I have ZERO interest.

So that being said, what's my Movie of the Year going to be this year? To be honest....I have no earthly idea.

X-mas in November

This picture pretty much sums up how I feel about November....or did. I'm still the guy who refuses to set up decorations until AFTER Thanksgiving. And there was a time where I'd only do it on December 1st.

But times have changed for me and now I happily have things set up on Black Friday. While I still cover my ears and hum whenever someone mentions X-mas before Thanksgiving I'm not as big of a scrooge about the holiday as I used to be.

Dark World: Village of Fear Rulebook

2018 Top 100 Vintage Games of all time! (#10-1)

 #10 Masterpiece

Welcome to to Top 10! This game is SOLID. After playing it again this year with my nephews I enjoyed so much that it's here in my Top 10. It's hard to say if it can move up much further but even if it drops, it should be more than a few spots.
 #9 Nerts

This card game stayed in the Top 10 this year though it didn't get played. However, if I go another year without playing it, it's going to take a hefty fall on the list. I hope that doesn't happen.

 #8 King Oil

Another game that dropped slightly but held in Top 10 once again. I don't see a scenario where it leaves the Top 10 next year either.

 #7 Thunder Road

Another game that dropped from #2 on the list but just last the last game I discussed, I don't see it falling out of the Top 10 either in 2019.

 #6 Campaign Trail

For all the reasons in my YouTube video this former #3 slipped down a few spaces. The biggest threat to its ranking is if it gets to the table. It was lucky this time, but if a yer comes where it doesn't get played it'll drop from my Top 10 entirely.

 #5 McDonalds

Down goes the champion from 2017. Though no longer holding the top spot on my vintage list, I can safely predict this game remains in my Top 10 going forward.

 #4 Omega Virus

Boy did this game take off since last year! Like I've said before, I love electronic games and to me, this is one of the best! AND now that I know a shorter time makes for a bigger challenge, I'm all up to playing more often in the coming new year. Though I'm doubtful it'll move any further up the list, it'll be hard fought for a game to beat it, newcomer or not.

 #3 Pro-Action Football

The newest game in my collection that made it the highest in its debut on the list! Wild because I hate soccer but LOVE this game! If it continues to make it to the table, it'll stay where it's at and "could" even take a higher spot if one of the 2 games above it slip.

 #2 Can't Stop

Classic push your luck game that is always a joy to play! Another recent game that was transferred to the "Vintage" list this year and has greatly benefited from it by almost making it to the top! Another game that will remain solid in the Top 5 but will it stop at 2nd place? Who knows?

#1 Ebay

When it transferred to the list I the knew it'd be a Top 10 game but after playing it more, I realized it had to be my new #1. I love bidding games, I love electronic games and this fits the bill in both categories!

Can it hold on for back to back victories? My guess is....yes. But if you think about it, that's exactly what I said about the McDonald's game and look where that is right now.

Until next year!

2018 Top 100 Vintage Games of all time! (#20-11)

Alright! It's been a while but now that the holiday season has kicked off, I'm ready to finish talking about the games at the top of my vintage list!

 #20 Electronic Mystery Mansion

This game slipped into my Top 20 by moving up a few spots, while it's tough to push through any higher I think this game is only moving down if newer games get added to the list. Really fun game that I love playing more and more each time I put it on the table!

 #19 LCR

Simple cheap game anyone can get at the Dollar Tree and it's going to be one of the best deals you'll ever get! Another game to shoot up my list into the Top 20 but I have a feeling it's going to stay in here in 2019.

 #18 Gold

This game gets better each time I play it. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one move up a few more spots next year. Really smart game for its age.

 #17 High Bid

Another great 3M game that skyrocketed up the list this year into the Top 20. I love bidding games and this is one of the best! But since I already have a bidding game that's higher on the list, this one could drop out of the Top 20 next year....but just barely.

 #16 Web of Gold

This game crawled a few spots north of my list this year and it may move a spot or two higher next year. Really great game.
 #15 Hotel Tycoon

Another game that dropped from the Top 10 from last year but it's still my nephews favorite game to play so it remains in the Top 20 for now. It could fall if my nephews love for it wains but at the moment, that doesn't look to be the case!

 #14 Batman: Gotham City Mystery

New game that came from my regular Top 100 list and I see it being a solid stay over into my Top 20 for next year as well.

 #13 Survive

Another new addition from the regular board game list, Survive is a wonderful game that (if I get the chance to play with 6 players) could make it into my Top 10 next year!

 #12 Mr President

Right now, it's my favorite 3M game. The only reason it dropped out of my Top 10 was because it never got played this year. If I don't get it to the table, it'll drop again (slightly) but if I get a chance to play it....who knows?
#11 Roller Coaster Tycoon

This one really impressed me on my last play. I don't think I realized how much fun it was since I'd bought it. This is one game that may crack the Top 10 next year.

And speaking of my Top 10, I'll get to them, tomorrow.
