Games I got rid of (74)

A really good game with beautiful artwork and pieces.

But the thing that did it in was the lack of a hoarding rule which breaks the game.

Yes you could implement one but I thought it was shortsighted of the designers not to see it in the first place. So I traded the game away.

Regrets: Maybe. Even though the game was nice it's not worth the asking prices it rose up to. It's trade value was so high, I exchanged it for a much better game. (in my opinion)

Survivor sucks

After last night's episode I'm considering NEVER watching again. Last season was one of THE WORST in the history of the show and this season isn't any better it seems.

"Out-Woke, Out-Bore and Out-Out" should be their new motto. So disappointed in how this show has fallen apart in the past couple of years.

Mayans

I won't lie, this season is terrible. The writers painted themselves into a corner and had no idea how to get out, so they hit the "reset" button trying to explain all the trouble away with one simple excuse....and it doesn't make any sense.

I'm guessing they assumed they were getting canceled and ramped things up in a "no way back" scenario before even considering how they were going to get out of it?

Such a disappoint over a spin off show that is not even a shadow of the original.

Games I got rid of (73)

Party game. I hate party games. I was given this by the publisher for review.

I threw it in the garbage IMMEDIATLY after I turned the camera off.

Regrets: I don't even remember what the point of the game was in the first place, so no.

Diet Update Week 4

This week is the week the fat starts burning and you really start to see a difference. My fat boy pants are starting to get loose and pretty soon will require a belt, while my regular pants will fit snug but not suffocate me while I wear them.

It's the week where things finally begin to get exciting as you start to see the difference more and more each week.

Really happy to finally get to this point!

Twit-face

Glad Elon Musk bought them. As I've said before it's the only social media platform I ever considered getting. Who knows? If things start to turn around for the company I may get an account!

Then again.....it's social media.......mmmmm....I'll wait and see.

Let's Go Mets!

Yes I know they're doing well but remember they always fall apart after the All-Star break so I'm holding off celebrating until I see the winning streak continue till after then,

Long time Mets fans are NOT fooled by this team.

Games I got rid of (72)

Looking at the game it looks incredible! Racing against a clock to shift tiles in a maze and have it keep going.

But the reality was, it was an awful game. I donated it to the Board Game Museum's channel my buddy Norm runs. Hopefully he's had more enjoyment out of it than I did.

Regrets: Not a single one.

Games I got rid of (71)

If you don't know why I no longer carry this in my collection, look no further to my review online.

This is a trivia game...and it SUCKS.

Threw it away shortly after my review.

Regrets: That I even got it in the first place.

Games I got rid of (70)

An excellent game! Was even #3 on my vintage list at one time. So why'd it leave? Nobody would play it with me any more.

Great hidden bidding, strategic game with awesome pieces. But I gave it up in a trade for another game last year when I realized it was impossible to bring to the table again.

Regrets: Many. I wish I could've found someone who enjoyed the game as much as I did. But in this case, not even my nephews wanted to give it a chance anymore. Bummed me out to have to get rid of it.

Games I got rid of (69)

Fun simple game where you took a move, decided on which action to take and scored points when the game was over to see whose family had the best trip.

The game was different every time because you drew more "interests" cards every game for each family member, therefore directing your travel plan in a different direction each time.

But when I saw it wasn't getting played as much, I gifted it to a friend who's enjoyed it in his collection.

Regrets: A little. It turns out Megan enjoyed this game! If I'd had known that, it would've stayed in my collection. But too little too late now. I'm not interested in tracking down another copy.

Games I got rid of (68)

My heart hurts on this one.

Great worker placement game with unique cylinder shaped dice you rolled on the table. I loved it.

Sadly my gaming group didn't. So for that reason I had to let it go.

Regrets: Yes. These days I cling to games my board game group hates a little longer, in hopes I'll find someone new to play with. I should've done that with this game but I don't need it enough to track down another copy again so I moved on.

Diet Update (Week 3)

Well, here we are 3 weeks in and this is where you start seeing a slow difference. My "fat boy" pants I wear don't feel tight anymore which means my body's beginning to adjust to the change and using the stored fat.

It's always an exciting time because even though it's nothing big, it's the start of better weeks to come!

Games I got rid of (67)

Cool racing game where you're not trying to finish first but yet finish a lap in the fastest time. It's hard to explain but I did a review on this one if you want to find out more on what I'm talking about.

Really fun game but I have so many racing games that when a potential trade came up for this one, I took it.

Regrets: I don't miss it that much, though it was one of my nephews favorites games. I didn't know that until I'd traded it away however.

Games I got rid of (66)

This is a great game. You're going around to different temples until someone wakes up King Neptune and all hell breaks out as he's rising the waters and flooding you out.

One problem.

We found a way you can avoid releasing Neptune in the first place. Thereby rendering the game pointless. Very disappointing to see it could be done. It means someone didn't test play this enough to see it. Once I did, it was a no brainer why it had to leave.

Regrets: I hate when games aren't properly play tested. Such a shame too because this game had so much potential.

Games I got rid of (65)

Fun game but the problem was I already had a co-op with the firefighter theme so I decided I didn't need two and this was the game that had to go because of it.

There's nothing wrong with the game at all but if you have Flashpoint: Fire Rescue, you wouldn't want to play this.

Regrets: None. Went to a friend who doesn't have Flashpoint...and he loves the game.

Diet Food

Funny how now that I'm on a diet my entire family only wants to eat the things I've bought on my diet.

Today I'm throwing away another casserole I can't eat and no one else in the house will eat either. Same thing with leftover pizza rolls and chicken nuggets.

Nope. No one wants them.  But they eat my eggs every morning for breakfast. I'm already out of broccoli, spinach and Brussel sprouts.  But there are CANS of corn, green beans, peas and carrots (nothing I can have in my diet) in the cabinets that have been there for a month.

It sucks having to buy double of everything for this diet and throwing away container after container of things I can't (and no one else in the house will) eat.

CMON Games is ON IT!

EVERY single game I've backed on Kickstarter last year (or 2020) has been delayed. Renegade tried to assure me there's would be on time as promised but they missed their deadline by a full 2 weeks.

But not CMON.

Not only is my game coming in today but it's coming in a whole 2 WEEKS EARLY!

This company hasn't made a single excuse and has had everything go like clockwork! They're above the standard than ANY other company out there on Kickstarter. Last time I backed a game of theirs it came in on time too and I didn't think much of it, but now?

They're #1 in my book!

Games I got rid of (64)

Great game, but once I added "Hollywood" to my collection, I knew this one wasn't going to get played much anymore, so I gave it away to a good friend of mine and I hope he enjoys it.

Regrets: Nope. Believe it or not, a CARD GAME replaced a board game for me. (lightening struck)

Games I got rid of (63)

Another awful game Megan got (the same time around "Maniac") that was pure garbage.

Some "party game" with a weak movie theme. The guy pitching it got an "A" for effort on selling it, but I knew straight out the gate that I was going to hate it.

Megan brought it out to several family gatherings but even her family didn't like it. So when she lost interest I "lost" the game for good.

Regrets: Only that my wife had better taste in games.

Diet Update (Week 2)

The worst time of the diet because you don't see any results as far as making a difference. But week 3 it'll start to show the diet's kicking in,

I always tell people this is the hardest week because of that. At least after week 1 the cravings you have die off and that's SOMETHING but week 2 you just got to have faith that it'll work in the long run.

Games I got rid of (62)

What an awful game. Megan bought it because she liked the theme. I was excited because it was a game she might actually play with me.

After one play, I knew I had to get rid of it. I threw it away when Megan finally lost interest.

Regrets: Only that the game exists today. I'm just glad it's not in my collection!

Snickers Peanut Brownie review

After years of seeing this in stores I finally picked up one to try it out.

Meh,

It's good but taste nothing like Snickers. I'm not much on brownies either so I don't think I'll try it again. Though if you love brownies, go for it. Super thick and tasty.

The only reason I waited so long to get it because it wasn't technically a candy bar so I never felt the need to try it.

Either way....it is what it is.

Games I got rid of (61)

Megan picked this one up for $1 back in the day. It was the dumbest game I've ever seen. Spin the tiles off the board and try to grab as many of them as you could off the table to win.

DUMB.

Finally, we lost enough pieces I was able to chuck it.

Regrets: Only that I'm out $1 for buying this game.

Bang: Nectarine Blueberry

Got to try the exclusive flavor at Vitamin Shoppe over the weekend.

Great.

Might even be my favorite. Which sucks because we don't have a store around here.

How is it that 7-11 and Vitamin Shoppe got the 2 good tasting flavors (in my Top 5) and Wal-Mart get the garbage flavored one? (in my bottom 10)

Really sucks.

Star Wars Fan Fiction

According to a search on Amazon....that's what "new canon" is.

Bang Swirly Pop

 FINALLY!!!

At long last I got to try out the most elusive drink Bang has to offer right now!

This 7-11 exclusive has been hard to come by. It goes for WAY too much online but I was able to buy it direct from the Bang company. Though it was a 12 pack, I didn't care how it taste. It was my only way to get it.

I spoke to SEVERAL people in the Dallas area where 7-11 is and asked them to bring me one next time they were in town, but after a full year of broken promises, I realized how truly unreliable each one of them was and decided to buy it myself.

The taste? Well every review I've seen says something different about how it taste so I was curious what my reaction would be.

Grape, Peach, Mango are just a few descriptions I've heard people describe it, but to me? Pineapple. But I can see what people mean about all the other flavors and I think that's great because Swirly Pop is a mix of them all I believe.

So how does it taste? Great. One of the top flavors for me, which is sad because after this 12 pack's finished I'll probably never have it again.

But if you can get your hands on one at  7-11, I can recommend you try it for sure.

One more exclusive flavor out there for me to try and if things go right, I should be able to nab a can to try out tomorrow.

Stay tuned!

Games I got rid of (60)

What a fun idea for a game. Great pieces but the DVD itself however....got a little old. Honestly, I would've kept the game if you could skip through the endless "filler" scenes that play between clips. It wore on you after a few plays. I meant to look into getting another version of Indiana Jones without the DVD feature but haven't made the decision to heavily pursue it or not at this time.

Regrets: I almost kept the pieces to this game but decided against it and gave it away to my nephews....who've lost the pieces to it by now.

Hyperions (review)

I gave this a shot because the Daily Wire picked up the film and promoted it.

It's horrible.

Boring. Cheap looking and just a waste of time. After 30 minutes I couldn't take anymore torture. Going forward I'm not going to watch anymore Daily Wire movies until I hear from SEVERAL people that they've gotten better.

At this point, I have NO desire to watch anymore.

Games I got rid of (59)

Another fun filler that wasn't getting to the table enough so I gave it away to a member of my gaming group who loves it.

Regrets: Nope. I'm only glad it found a home where it gets played regularly.

Diet update Week One

So far so good. After the first week on the diet my body in now in the right mode and I stopped having cravings.

It'll still be a couple of weeks before I start seeing a difference in my waist line which sucks. I'm down to my last pair of shorts that are a size too big already but barely fit!

It's my fault for waiting so long. I knew I should've started it the week after the twins were born but I didn't. Now I have to be uncomfortable in tight fitting pants until the end of the month when things start to getting looser.

A few weeks of being uncomfortable will pay off in the end once this is all over.

Now it's just waiting for those weeks to pass by.

Games I got rid of (58)

Bought this game back in the day when I was buying anything that looked interesting. It has a cool dice tower, which proceeded the time those things were common.

Other than that, it was roll and move.

So once the novelty wore off, I gave it away.

Regrets: None.

Prime shipping?

I think Amazon should abandon their "2 Day Shipping" promise.

These days it takes 4 days at the MINIMUM but nothing's come close to 2 Days.

I did an experiment and used Fed Ex's 2 Day ship guarantee.

They have an hour and half left to get it to my doorstep today.

Doubtful, it's coming in.

I know more people shop online now  but you can't tell me there's nothing they can do to bolster up their shipping routes and delivery service.

No tracking information

I have 4 orders coming in but NONE of them show tracking information to where it is.

It's ridiculous.

And this isn't just USPS but FedEx and UPS too.

So stupid!

Games I got rid of (57)

Friend of mine gave me this one a while back. Simple "matching" game with a "match" theme. The box art was creative as well but the game is for normies, so I gave it away.

Regrets: None. Although I thought the theme was witty, I just wish there was more to it than a simple pun.

Games I got rid of (56)

Loved the cartoon as a kid though I'm sure it'd suck if I were to see it again. The card game was fun but didn't get played enough because it's a card game and that's not up my alley.

Gave it to a friend who has nephews, so I hope they enjoy it.

Regrets: None. My girls have plenty of other games they can play with me when they get older.

COVID Clown

It's the newest thing for people who still believe COVID is a threat.

You now dress up as one so that the words you use match the way you dress.

In a world of Fools, April Fool's Day losing its meaning.
