Things I miss from my childhood (7)

Bedtime stories.

The highlight of my teen life for years was at the end of the day when Dad would read us the next chapter in a book. Laying in bed, imaging the characters and the world my father was explaining was wonderful.

And my Dad was a man of a thousand voices. I loved hearing him read aloud to us. Each night we'd beg for an extra chapter from him. Most nights he'd agree too.

We loved it so much I remember even through my college years on Sunday afternoons we gathered in the living room to hear him read to us.I only hope I can read half as well to my kids as Dad did with us.

Have a great weekend folks!
