Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (Review)

Forgot to mention that I saw another film shortly before Halloween . I remember seeing an ad in theaters and thinking "Maybe that's for me"

The movie takes place in 1968 for some unexplained reason (I guess they thought putting it in the 80's was overdone these days) but sadly, that's the only thing interesting about it.

The movie follows a group of kids who discover a book that tells the death of all their friends. The premise, characters and story arcs are so generic it makes this one of the most forgettable films you'll ever see.

SPOILER: The kids confront the ghost, right her wrongs and she stops writing stories about them.....that's not really a spoiler once you get the general idea of the story.

Total snoozefest that they thought would spin into a series of movies because it leaves itself wide open for a sequel. Keep dreaming....it ain't happening.

Waste of time.
