I hate the holiday overall so it wasn't that big of a bummer in the first place. Maybe one day I'll find a way to celebrate the holiday in a way that's more fun than standing outside in the dark for hours with mosquitoes eating you alive while you watch a pathetic performance of lame and short lived fireworks.

Do me a favor. In 5 years, buy a bunch of fireworks for your girls, set them off, see their pure delight, and then get back to me on how you feel about this holiday.
