Grading the Alhambra Expansions (3)

Camps

Tiles that you shuffle into the game that when placed will score 1VP for each tile the arrow points. Interesting concept and certainly adds weight to where you place future tiles.

This expansion is a Meh

I didn't mind it, even made a few good scores off of it but in the end it wasn't something I felt HAD to be in every game I played.

City Walls

When you take the card off the main board you receive walls tiles that can be placed around your alhambra.

This expansion is a MUST

Just like the City Gates, this is essential to the game. Playing this module was the ONLY time I was able to completely surround my Alhambra by the end of the game scoring massive points. I may have been the only one who loved this one, but it certainly was a winner in my book.

Thieves

Distribute them out evenly among the players and whenever they want, they can be played during the game to snatch a matching color money card when it's not your turn. These cards are "one and done" so once they're used that's it for the rest of the game.

This expansion is a MUST

Everyone loved playing this one. Just like the Vizor's, I think every one of us played each card we had by the end of the game. Great idea for a module!

Change

These are for anyone who overpays for a tile in the game to grab change (if available) and re-use it to buy future tiles, increasing the chances of paying exact change for them too.

This expansion is a MUST

I think I made 3 back-to-back awesome turns with this expansion. My gaming group loved it as well but we each forgot (from time to time) that change was available so we failed to get any. Overall, this is an expansion I would definitely play again in future games.

That's it for this week folks! Have a good weekend!
