Here I am with the man himself, Bruce Cambell. If you don't know who he is, I'll explain. He's the cult classic hero of the "Evil Dead" series. An old horror movie trilogy which actually poked fun at itself.

Believe it or not, Bruce was THE HARDEST person to get an autograuph from. You'd have to stand in line for hours on end just to meet him. He was the most popular person there! I had him sign my DVD cover slip and walked away as the happiest nerd on the planet!

Life is good

I just wanted to let everyone know that life is good. I'm blessed, things are going my way and God's really been making it hard for me to complain about things lately. I'm truly thankful for all that has been given to me.

In fact, I told the sky to get out of my way yesterday because it was blocking my limit! No, I'm not in love and No, I don't have Episode 3 on DVD yet. I'm just saying all this because right now... life is good.

I can't sleep so when I wake up tomorrow morning I probably won't be that cheery so I making my post tonight.... or today I guess. And today's post has to deal with a very important person in my life.... Chewie.

I got to meet Peter Mayhew the man who plays Chewbacca, so here's a few pictures of mine that show the proof! Read it and weep fans!

Comic Strip delay?

Ok, from the several e-mails I've gathered that everyone's ready for another comic strip. But right now I can't do it.

The reason for the delay is simple. I''ve been working on a comic book series ever since I got back from San Diego and it's taking up all my spare time at the moment. However I'm almost done with it and even though I was going to wait a few more weeks I'll try to get one out to you for next week. K? K.

So the pic above is of Rob Liefield. One of the most hated men in comic books today. Why? He's ripped off SO many artist and ideas in the past that half the people in the industry don't like him. Even the fans have tired of his long delays and poor excuses not to finish his storys.

When I saw him I called my brother up and told him Rob Liefield was right in front of me, and asked what he wanted me to do. Jeremy's response: "Really?!..... Kick him in the shins!!"

He knows he's hated too. Becuase when I asked for the picture he said "Now you're not going to turn this into a dart board are you?"

Well.... the thought had crossed my mind....

Kung-Fu Fighting

Ok, so one night at the ComicCon I was on my way to see this movie (they play movies there at night for everyone) and I walk by this one room where they're playing one of my favs "Kung_Fu Hustle" (see earlier post on movie)

So I'm like "Hey, it's Kung-Fu Hustle... I gotta see this!?" But when I walk in the guy in the back with the mic's talking thru it saying how the particular actor shown on the screen at the moment was such and such and so and so.

Then out of no where he says "Wouldn't it be nice to meet him?.... Well stop the movie and turn up the lights cause he's here tonight..."

I freaked.

He couldn't speak a lick of english but everyone loved him and he was really funny. After the "interview" the host announced that the first 50 people to the side door.."

That's all I heard. I ran off down the isle like a kid at X-mas time! I was #36 and got to meet him, get my picture taken AND get an autograph poster from him as well. (somehting you STILL haven't sent me back BRUCE!!!)

But wow.... what a night that was!

Ok, to answer some of your questions reguarding the spam blogs there's nothing really I can do about it. I've made it to where anyone can post on my blog. That makes it easier for people who do not want to be members of their own blog just to see mine.
That's the whole reason I never went over to Xanga. They're too private there. And you can't post UNLESS you're a member. It was stupid.

Here's more autographs I got at the ComicCon. One is of Aura Siing. A bounty hunter that was in just 2 seconds of "The Phantom Menace" and never seen from again. I just got here autograph because of who she was standing right next two. The young Boba Fett from Episode 2.

Running a little late for work today folks so this'll be quick. To all my friends going to DragonCon today, have fun and be sure to get me an autograph of Nathan Fillion.
The pic today is of my friend Matt who lives in San Diego. I met this guy playing Halo 2 online and he's got the deepest voice I've ever heard. I never expected him to look quite like this but I guess he wasn't expecting a Heath Ledger look-a-like either! (jk)

Ouch!

Robert Jordan get's NO LOVE yesterday I saw! Oh well, perhaps you won't be so harsh on today's guest.
His name is Ben Caldwell and he's the man who'll change the face of Cardco Comix! Ben wrote this excellent book on how to draw a few years back that recently I've been reading through and it's really really good.
The guy was so cool even that when I came up to him to say hello he talked with me for half an hour and even let me behind the booth with him as we talked. He had many helpfull pointers and was really interested in seeing my blog.
I told him "No" since... well let's face it folks... you don't come here for the art in my comics do you?
But who knows, maybe one day Ben will get the chance to stop by and look at my blog and say... "What a waste of paper!"

Just to let everyone know, I'm ok down here. Katrina didn't even touch us. That's in south LA I live up in the NE. I appreciate the concern but really, we didn't even get heavy rain up here.

So here's me with world reknown author Robert Jordan. He writes that fantastic series titled "The Wheel of Time" which I haven't read a one of but hear it's good so I've bought every copy and am just waiting for him to finish with the series before I start to read it. (which may be within another decade before I do!)

Brand new week

Well start things off this week by showing you two of my friends Michael (with glasses) and Stephen who came in from Phoenix to visit me when I was in San Diego. Stephen's actually a really good artist and has been helping me with some Sanrioman pictures I plan to use in my 100th issue.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. My brother is in from California and so me Mom's getting to see all her grandchildren on a daily basis right now so if anybody needs a favor from her, now's the time to ask. (she has a hard time saying "No" around the grandkids!)

Months go by faster than days! I can't believe we're almost done with the month. Where did the summer go?

Here's a pic of me with Lara Croft (the Tomb Raider) I'm shocked there weren't more people dressed up like here at the con. You always see people dressed up as Joker and Catwoman as well as Jedi. (who are in abundance)

If I were to dress up and go to this thing I'm not sure what I'd be.... an Ewok maybe?
