Emperor's New School (Review)

Another cartoon I've been looking forward to watching is Emperor's New School! The TV series sequel to one of my favorite Disney movies!

Man, talk about missed opportunities. The show is "good" but falls short of "Great" which is what it could have been if they'd had given the series a little more thought and effort.

The story takes place after the movie where Kuzco has to go back to school and graduate before becoming Emperor. But Kuzco doesn't have his "summer" home like in the movie and the whole story arc is a little hokey. Plus, it doesn't look like Kuzco's learned his lesson from the first film.

Kuzco's favorite meal is a "meat mug"  i mug full of salted steamy cooked meat. I have to admit.... I want one. Its a running gag in the series that I enjoyed.

A good thing about the show is that almost all the actors came back for the series except for David Spade, which is weird. What else did he have to do at the time? I mean, for crying out loud even John Goodman came back!!

One really good thing about it is that they gave the series an ending! (rare cartoons usually get a chance to wrap up the overall plot) In the end, Kuzco graduates, becomes Emperor (again) gets together with his love interest for the series and learns his lesson (again) about not being so self centered.

Though better than the DVD Sequel Kronk's New Groove, it still falls short of brilliant. Glad I watched it.
