Hi folks! We're back! And oh what a trip we had! I don't have time to tell you all about it now but maybe on Friday we can show you a few pics from it.

Wedding pics and video posts should be availble soon. I didn't tape it but the person who did should have it ready by now. So we'll see about that.

Ok, so you all know how much I hate putting a plain (boring) written post on the blog. But today I'm going to make an exception.

I'm getting married tomorrow and I just wanted to say a few last words before it happens. I love Megan. I do. It;s been very hard to find someone as sweet and as true as she has been to me.

Sure I've known a lot of sweet girls over the years. But in each of them turned out not right for me. Whether it was distance, or another religion they were all wonderful woman but just not my match. Megan is.

I'm thankful God led me to this woman who loves me as much as she loves the Lord. I'm thankful God had me wait so long for to find her too. I have no complaints as to how my life is.

Ok, I can't do this much longer. It's too mushy for me. Yeck! But I'm sure you get the point.

Well folks, my life changes as of tomorrow but the blog won't. I've readied the posts for next week so that everyone can still enjoy the blog while I'm away. To everyone, take care have a great weekend and I'll tell you all about my new wife (aka: life) when I get back.

Monday's with Megan (and Matt)

I'm just going to talk about how this past week has been.

I got a lot of things done that needed to be done. I made my appointments for the "big" day and all.

Saturday the church gave us our first shower. It was so much fun, but don't worry if you didn't go... there will be another one August 16th that everyone is invited to. (more details on that later)

And to top the week off, I got my dress. How exciting!!!

Ok, well my part is done. Now for Matt....

First off, let me expound a little on the shower. First off, THANK YOU for everyone involved in it. (Rachel especially) we really enjoyed it and had a great time. Folks, I wish we could have gotten it on tape.

They put up a game show setting like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" but instead named it "How Wants to be a Newlywed" They had the music, the host and even the life lines. It was SO much fun!

Thanks again for everyone who attended and even brought gifts. I'm afraid some of these didn't come with tags on who gave us what (or maybe they fell off during the move) but we appreciate every one!!

I'm sure pictures on that will be soon to come!

Now, on to the next topic:

Exciting stuff for all you Cardco fans out there! Starting tomorrow I'll be giving you a great comic strip about what Megan feels like when she has to deal with me the whole time we go get registered at a store.

THEN it's what you've all been waiting for.... on Friday.... the grand premiere.... of.... SING-A-LONG 3!!!!

And folks.... it's good. In fact, I want Friday's to be a video post day for the next couple of weeks, so that's what we're planning to do! (who wants to read my posts anyway right?) I know Megan's our interesting, but mine seem to just drag along. This should make Firday's a lot more fun on the blog.

Sorry, try again...

So I've been looking for a house here recently and thought I found the perfect one. We were all set to close at the end of this month. Then, just as the old Coca-Cola bottle caps use to say I got the message "Sorry, Try again."

So what was wrong with this place? The house was nice, big, a great deal..... and in a flood zone where the flood insurance cost close to $2000 a year. Yeah. Not gonna happen.

So now it's back to the drawing board once again. (la sigh) Oh well, maybe this month will turn up something new. Have a great weekend folks!

Wedding Checklist

Today I thought I would share on how the wedding plans were coming along.

Everything is going well and pretty much all of the big stuff is out of the way. All we have left is detailed things for that day. Mostly things which can not be done until the night before or day of.

In another direction, we have been in the process of registering things for our new home. For those of you who have yet to experience it... it is a pain the butt!!! (or at least I think).

Matt is just there with me when we go, and he is leaving all the decision making to me. The thing is, I'm not sure yet what colors we should do and Matt says he is fine with anything. With that in mind, I'm about to decide that our room will be 'Star Wars' themed. It will be easy enough to decorate and I KNOW he will be happy with that.

Wish I was there....

Ok. So I know it's been a few years since I went but every time it comes around again I find myself missing the San Diego Comicon event. As most of you know from previous posts, I really enjoyed my time there. It was one of the best experiences of my life!

I hope to go again one day. But now all I can do is sit and watch the coverage on G4 or Google News. : (

We started out at Black Bayou and ended in Down Town Monroe, with a few places in between. It was a not so cool evening, but I saw a few of the pics and they looked pretty good. I'll keep you guys updated when I get more so you can see them too.

Midnight show!

So I don't really wait up for a midnight showing to a movie anymore. Let's be honest folks, after Star Wars came out.... why even do it!? But a bunch of people were planning on seeing this movie at midnight so I thought "Why not?" and joined in.

The result?

IT'S FRIGGIN 3 A.M. IN THE MORNING AND I HAVE TO BE AT WORK BY 8!!!!!

And the movie wasn't that bad too.

... last of my favorites!

Today I'd like to tell you about my favorite foods!

First off, for snacks, I like: Ice Cream (Banana Split, Chocolate, Tin Roof and Strawberry) I LOVE the Snickers Concrete from Eskamos and the Butterfinger blast from Sonic as well.

I like Cheetos, chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies and reisen's. But DOVE chocolate are my FAVORITE!

{MATT} She even reads the wrapping on EVERY piece!!!
{MEGAN} Final warning... off my blog!

For real food I like..... CHICKEN!! Anyway. Anytime. It's the best! I DO NOT eat beef or pork.

My favorite fast food restaurants are... Captain D's, Popeye's, Taco Bell, McCallister's and Sonic. My favorite "sit down" restaurant is Olive Garden with Chili's and El Chico's coming in close behind.

Mmmmmm..... all this talking makes me hungry. I think I'm going to go get something to eat now. Have a nice week! =D

Cleaning out my closet

It's been a long time coming, but I finally had a chance to clean out my closet! I've had an over abundance of faded, torn and just plain nasty looking clothes that needed to be moved out. It took me well over an hour to glean thru everything.

Yes, there were tears as a few things had to go. There were also found memories, forgotten treasures and moments where I didn't have a clue how that ended up in my closet. Megan's face was enough to say it all when I would pull it out and show her.

But the end result was well worth it. No longer are my drawers over-flowing and my walk in closet finally had some breathing space. All is good. But I still have way to many clothes!!

More Favorites....

Ok, I'm going to talk about music and books!

For music, I like to listen to anything really. I don't have a favorite. But I do love my "Beauty and the Beast" soundtrack. Belle would be considered my favorite Disney princess!

{MATT} Stick to the point.
{MEGAN} Go away. Hush.

Now as for my favorite type of book, I'd have to say suspense and romance.

{MEGAN} Stop it.

My favorite authors are Mary Higgins Clark and Danielle Steele. But I love several other authors as well. Some books that come to mind are:

No actually, it won't be so bad today. It being a holiday I won't have that much to do, may even get to leave early. This weekend I'll be spending with my grandmother in Mobile. I don't know if I'll get to see any fireworks on the way down that night but we shall see.....
