Now THIS is baseball!

Now that the Giants have embarrassed the Cardinals the match has been set for one of the best World Series matches I've seen in a long time.

It's the dominant Royals team vs Tim Hudson's Giants. Regardless of who wins this one, it's going to be great.

I love both of these teams and it would only be better if my Mets were in. (but at 3rd place in a weak division that didn't happen)

I'm glad these are the teams we'll see and I can't wait for the games to begin!!

Embarrassed? Two walk offs and another comeback win. Sheesh man, I don't know if I've ever seen so many sports posts by someone it seems like has never watched sports. But you're still money!

Cardinals were heavily favored in the series and the Royals have been the underdogs the entire time. I love this World Series match up. It's going to be great!

Battle of the underdogs!

Actually, I don't know that the Cards were heavy favorites. The Giants have our number. Plus, Molina got hurt, and that was huge. And it still came down to 2 walk-offs and we had the lead late in 2 of the last 3. Tough to say they were embarrassed.

Royals are DEFINITELY the underdogs. I hope they win. Tough to call Giants that, with WS titles in 2010 and 2012.

Don't know if you were followning everyone's pocks, but it was Cardinals virtually across the board. Even Vegas had hem as favorites. In Roster depth they still outnumbered the Giants and not only did they have a better record but they Cards won their division while the Giants didn't.

2 underdogs making their way to the World Series. No one picked them (including myself) to make it this far, yet they played ball. Cards out in 5?! That's not just beating the odds, that's dominating the competiton!

And looking at tonight, they may just do the same thing against the Royals!

I actually did follow picks. I thought it was fairly even Giants to Cardinals. And again, if the Giants win the world series, this will be 3 titles in the last 5 years. That's not an underdog. I couldn't care less about Vegas. You wanna talk about roster depth? The Cardinals' best player got hurt in Game 2. How does that grab ya? Also, the Cardinals have a weak division in terms of superstar teams (though good depth), and the Giants have the Dodgers. That's why they didn't win.

Losing in 5 games has nothing to do with being dominated (or embarrassed, which is what your original post said) - IF you watched the games. 2 out of four victories were walk offs, one in the 9th, one in the 10th. In another, the Cardinals had a 4-1 lead, and kept most of it until late. That's 3 games that could have easily gone the other way, but kudos to the Giants, they made plays when they had to, and the Cardinals didn't. But I don't know a single other human being who would say that is "domination" or "embarrassment". Not only that, but the Cardinals don't *really* have a dominant superstar like they have in years past, and their best pitcher was injured! You gotta pay attention to details, my man!
