So I was helping Megan move some things of her great grandmothers out of storage and look what I found!
She didn't know where it came from (or if her Memaw was a ninja) but I decided the sword was destined to be with me!
Now Megan's just counting down the the days until I unbelievable chop up my own head with it.

HOLY SHIT! (pardon my French) but what you have there might actually be a true blue samurai sword. If her great grandfather was in WWII, many soldiers would bring home samurai swords as souvenirs. They were usually taken from captured officers who by that time used them mostly for show, but they still held a position just like samurai. I am INSANELY jealous!
Hmmm.... dang! Never thought of that. Megan? Was Memaw's husband in the war?

He was in some war I believe. Guess I need to research. I just always thought it was just there I guess. Haha!
