Goodbye 2013

We're locking away another great year and as I look back on it, I can't believe all the many things Megan and I did this year!

1) Bought new furniture for the living room.
2) Got to meet the entire cast of Dukes of Hazzard
3) Had a new fence built for our back yard.
4) Got a new car.
5) Went back to 2 comic cons so Megan could get more Walking Dead autographs.
6) Went to Disney World for our 5 year anniversary.
7) Won the Santa Bowl
8) Wrote an Xmas show for Strauss. (though not produced due to lack of actors)
9) Lost 15 pounds. (5 short of my goal but oh well!)
10) Blest to enjoy another whole year of life!

It's been a good year, no doubt about that!

Jurassic Park Pics (2)

Me hiding from the dinosaur from Jurassic Park 3
Inside one of the buildings at Jurassic Park.
Now that I think of it, I wonder if they're beefing things up for the new upcoming movie that'll be coming out?
 Me vs Raptor
Meg and I pose with the T-Rex
Then we panic.

Xmas tomorrow!

Jurassic Park Pics (1)

What better way to celebrate Xmas Eve than with a few picks from Jurassic Park in Universal Studios right?!
I don't know how we missed this the first time we came. It's a huge exhibit that was closed at the time for refurbishment.
Here's a few pics we took from in front of the building.
What a view right? Best one there is at Universal Studios!
I have more photos posting thru-out the day so I'll see you soon!

Jurassic Park (4)

Look at this view from Jurassic Park! Does it get any better than this?

Oh and see how dark those clouds were getting? It didn't rain on us that day. We were SO lucky that week because the forecast called for rain the whole time we were there but it never came until after we were heading back in the car!

See ya later folks!

Jurassic Park (3)

Jurassic Park (2)

Megan's "theory" about how Jurassic Park and Harry Potter World are connected.

I think she's crazy.

Megan would like to welcome you... to Jurassic Park!

Monster Cereals

When Bray and Jordan came in one of the things we all got to do was sit around the house and enjoy these classic monster cereals together.

Growing up as kids we each had our favorites. Mine was Booberry, Jeremy's was Count Chocula, Bray loved Frankenberry and Jordan Yummy Mummy.

Yummu Mummy was discontinued in the 80's and Fruit Brute in the 70's. They reproduced these cereals this year for the first time ever and I just had to get the whole set! Jordan remembered Yummy Mummy's orange crème flavor and Fruit Brute's cherry flavor was interesting to try as well.

They only come out around the Halloween holidays so if you missed them this year you can try and catch them again in 2014.

Have a great day folks!

Megan takes a million pictures

She loved the Harry Potter castle from afar. I think I have 12 pictures of the castle alone!

Ok folks, have a great weekend!

Bub gets a Butter Beer

Megan's favorite drink in the park. When she went to stand in line I asked which one she was getting and she said the regular. But when asked by lady if she'd like a frozen one instead Megan gave in to the upsale and said yes.

Watch in the video how she tries to pass it off on me for her decision. lol

Happy Friday everyone! I'll post another Harry Potter World video later.

War Eagle on the Herd

So Colin thinks that not only Auburn will win the National Championship but that they'll also win it AGAIN next year!?

Incredibly bold prediction by the man, but Auburn does have a lot of returning seniors and if Nick Marshall matures into a better QB like Jason Campbell did in his senior year than I guess I could see it.

Still, pretty bold claim.

War Eagle Colin!

Sinbad Show (3)

That's all for today. C-ya later!

Sinbad Show (2)

The show itself was pretty good for a stunt show, though I believe once is enough for this attraction. Megan wasn't impressed but I enjoyed it a lot.

One more video coming up later today.

Sinbad Show (1)

Another show we got to see was the Adventures of Sinbad. At the front of the entrance was a fountain that spoke to you and hit you with water from one of it's many spouts if you got near it.

It was controlled by someone near by because they could respond back to anything you said. They were funny and made for a great pre-show warm up!

For snack we had a chocolate frog from Harry Potter world and if you're a fan of milk chocolate I'd recommend it. It was very good chocolate!

More videos to come later today.

Going greek (2)

K folks, that's all for today. See ya tomorrow with more videos!

Going Greek (1)

This is probably the most impressive of all the lands at Universal. (besides Harry Potter World)
Amazing detail went in to everything.

I'll post a video of the place later today.

Suess Land pics (2)

Here's the last of our pics in Dr Suess World!
Thing #1 or #2? You decide.
If you ever see me giving our advice to you in this hat...run.

 Megan riding behind the police.
Me riding with the police.

Man! I sure know how to take a pic eh?

Ok, more good stuff coming tomorrow!

Suess Land pics (1)

Here's a few of the pics you saw Megan taking in the videos yesterday.
Universal went all out in this land. There's not a single straight edge in the "land" everything is curved.
It was done that way to imitate the way Dr Suess drew.
A snack shop we didn't get a chance to eat at.
The outside of the Cat in the Hat ride.

I'll have more pics for you later on today.

National Champion preview

It's getting closer as we count down the day Auburn's championship victory, but before we do let's see what's been going on in the news:

Vegas lowers the odds on the game.

Looks like Auburn fans have been taking advantage on Vegas' poor perception on the game. So many people are betting on Auburn that Vegas had to lower the odds of the game to hedge their bets in case of a Tiger win.

Poor Vegas will take a hit on this game since they're still favoring Florida State to win but don't worry Plainsmen fans, you still have time to make some money on these guys just not at the odds Vegas originally placed on them.

Winston respects the SEC

"The SEC is the hardest conference in the NCAA"

Whaaaaat?! I agree with the statement but was shocked to hear it come from the Heisman winner himself last week as he was interviews on ESPN about the game. Winston's from Alabama and has a lot of respect for the SEC, which he knows is far superior than any other conference in college football today.

But it wasn't too hard to understand him saying that when I discovered....

Winston's Mom is an Auburn fan

That's right folks. The mother of Florida State's quarterback has been cheering for Auburn her whole life and is happy to see them in the championship. She's even been talking trash to her own son! But admits she will be cheering for him none-the-less during the game.

Though something tells me she won't be too disappointed is her son loses the National Championship. His Dad's gotta be routing for Auburn too right?! After all, Happy Wife, Happy Life!

But guess who else is cheering for us?

AJ McCarron and Katherine Webb are both cheering for Auburn

Even our bitter rival at Bama know a good team when they see one. "They're legit" says McCarron "Any team that can win out in the hardest conference in college football, should be more than qualified to play for a National Championship"

Thank you for your support sir. We'll try to make the voters realize they backed the wrong QB for the Heisman when we embarrass Winston on Jan 6th.

Ok folks, that's all for now! Have a great day!

Suees-ville (3)

This is the Suess restaurant. Though we were too full to eat here (it was part of our Meal Deal) I hope next time we can. The inside of it looked so amazing!

When we walked in to take a look a squirrel had gotten in. I tried to get it on camera but lost him before then.

Pictures from Suess-Land coming tomorrow!

Suess-ville (2)

Megan tries her hand at speaking "Suess"

Suess-ville (1)

Another thing we didn't have time for our first time around and wanted to spend more time in was Dr Suess land. I'm glad we had we took our time thru it this year. And although the train ride that take you around the entire "world" was down that day, it still didn't stop us from riding the Cat in the Hat ride!

More vids to coming today...

More of Universal Studios to come starting tomorrow!

Order Restored!

Sorry for the delayed post but it's been a busy day!

I'll break it down in halves for you:

First half- Neither team could get anything going and their was no score at half time.

Second half: The Adults strike first with a QB keeper up the middle for 30 yards. 6-0

The Youth get lucky as the ref accidently blows his whistle which causes confusion and allows a Youth receiver to be wide open on a TD. The Adults argue that the play is dead because a whistle is blown shortly after the snap, but the TD is allowed anyway making it 6-6

The Adults storm back with a beautiful 20 yard pass and are up 12-6

No field goals were allowed this year due to the last minute change in fields due to a Duck Dynasty Xmas special going on in town the same day at Forsythe Park. It hurt both teams because going for the extra point is rarely successful in a game.

When the Adults kickoff thy pin the Youth well behind their 20 and after a great play by the defense we had them inside the 10. On the next play....a safety! Only the 3rd ever in the history of the Santa Bowl!

After that the Youth's spirits are crushed and they go down 14-6. The exact same score we beat them the last time we won in 2010. How wild is that?

Coincidentally, Auburn also won their last National Championship that year too, Hmmmm... sounds like Destiny to me, don't you think?

Now after 2 long years the Santa Cup is back home where it belongs and all is right in the world once again!

War Eagle!

Santa Bowl 2013

It's time to take back our Santa Cup from the Youth who have won the last 2 years.

And at 2pm, we'll do just that....I hope.

Megan controls the world!!

Oh my.

What a scary thought!

Have a good weekend folks!

Megan's advice on the Walking Dead

Fun around Universal Studios

It's Friday so I thought I'd show off a few random photos for ya!
Of course we did the whole "character" thing, but this time it was with more people then costume themed folk. As you see with Megan and Lucy here.
Megan and her idol Marilyn Monroe
Megan hanging around the "Walking Dead" area.

I'll post a few videos today as well so stay tuned!

Horror Move Make-up Show (2)

And here's Megan's thoughts after the show.

Horror Movie Make-up Show (1)

Here's a few of the props we saw while we waited for the show.

The Horror Movie Make-Up Show

Something I wanted to try new this time was this show. Basically reveling how a little "movie magic" is made in films.
Inside the waiting room is an awesome display of movie props from Universal Pictures.
And though I wasn't able to tape any of the actual show, it was both entertaining and informative. I suggest you go see it at least once. Megan and I may even go back again because it was that good!

Best line was during the improve moments with the audience. The lady was talking to a boy in the crowd who was being difficult so she said "This is Disney, I don't have to be nice to kids here."

Hilarious!!!

Posting a video this afternoon.

Hop parade

More tomorrow!

Universal Parades

Everybody loves a parade, and we got to see one while we were there.
Kind of odd when you have an Easter Themed character, leading the parade in October but when all you've got is the movie characters from "Hop" you work with what you've got a suppose.
Though couldn't they have at least dressed them up for Halloween a little?!
C'mon! How much would it cost for that rabbit to be wearing a witch hat or something?!
 Megan loved these costumes.
She even took a picture of the girls shoes because they were "cute"
And once the parade's over, the streets go back to looking like this again.

I'll post a video of the parade later on today.
