After a full month of no mask mandate....numbers are down 50%
MASK DON'T WORK
I was a huge Chipmunk fan as a kid and this was the only album we owned as kids. We listened to it so much when I took it from my parents years ago I was crushed to see how badly scratched the album got over the years.
I'll admit, it was totally our fault as kids but I was able to snag a cheap one on Ebay that plays great so it doesn't matter.
Don't mention Florida and Texas dwindling numbers since they removed their mask mandates. (no one else in the media wants to mention it) and also Miss. Governor showed his state has also dwindled in number of cases since his removal of masks, proving once again that these things are pointless and don't work.
I hope we get a petition signed to have a re-vote on Bel-Edwards. I PROMISE he wouldn't win now and he knows it.
It's the best way for him to stop towing the party lines and do what's RIGHT for our state!
You better believe I'll have another card made. Don't know whether it'll be one with the girls or not, but it should be fun.
I can't wait!!!
Megan sat there and watched her husband spaz out the whole way back from Dallas singing the most ridiculous songs ever. "Have Patience" is a good one but its hard to pick my favorite since I love them all so much.
He'd even put on performances for mom, dad and any guests we had over at the house. Our copy was too badly scratched over the years but I was able to snag a copy years ago at some flea market years ago, though I've forgotten where at.
Still a solid album which has the original Mr Cooper on it!
I was able to track down a copy at an antique store in Foley AL and was thrilled! I need to pop this one and dance around the room with my girls like I did when I was little.
I thought I'd talk about old records I used to listen to as a kid and what I loved so much about them.
I'm pretty sure we picked this up at our local McDonalds back in the day and listened to it all the time. It's a birthday album, with "games" included on the track. "The Hamburger Roll" was probably my favorite album on the track. A 50s style song that's pretty cheesy but we didn't mind it that much as kids back then.
I still have the original album today in my collection.
Flawless movie. Action, story, and there's not a wasted scene in the whole film. The acting is great and it's still as good as the first time I saw it. I showed this to Megan the first year we were married and hadn't watched since but one night while trying to find something, I remembered this and wanted to watch it again.
SO glad I did. And you should too. Especially if you haven't seen it before.
Check them out if you're into that sort of music.
As if this comes as any surprise with anyone who has half a brain. They don't know what they're doing.
The story revolves around a fictional character Elizabeth Harken who tears up the Chess league in the 60's. It's beautifully written and shot and worth your time even if you don't care about chess. The period is well done in the series and Netflix didn't skimp on the money for each episode. Engaging the entire time.
Glad I gave it a chance!

What a joke our Governor is.

And does this mean they don't believe the vaccine works? Not exactly sounding like a vote of confidence if nothing changes after you get the shot.
Seriously, there's a million of these examples. But the news buries their hypocrisy because it doesn't fit their narrative.
Overall, I didn't like it. It cut short one of my favorite scenes at the end, so next time I go through the trilogy again (which I did AND it was great by the way) I won't be viewing "Coda" ever again.
Have a good weekend folks!
What a joke.
On the plus side our numbers are even with MS.
On the negative side, MS isn't afraid of a 97.7% Survival rate and is open 100% with no mask mandate.
In Louisiana, our Governor would rather tow the party line than see his state succeed.
Shame on Louisiana for living in fear.
Florida. No mask mandate. Open 100%. LOWER number of cases than CA.
LOVE how no one wants to talk about the elephant in the room.
Well, I decided to watch it again during lunch breaks for something to watch while I ate and....it's worse than I remember.
The stories make little to no sense. And towards the end of the series Diana Prince doesn't even bother wearing glasses most of the time meaning the only difference in her look is whether her hair's in a pony tail or not. Really shoddy.
The stories are far fetched and borderline weird. Like one where a lady can control ants....who eat the wood inside buildings....like termites?
The last episode was an attempt to reboot the series by moving Wonder Woman to Los Angeles, where she teamed up with an indestructible man and monkey as well as a kid who doubled as a human vending machine for one of the highest spy agencies in the US.
Oh and how did she get a job with the IADC? She hypnotized one person and got in. Having access to all the deepest secrets the government had to offer. Some security we had back in the 70's!
The first season took place during the 40's where Nazi's were the villain. But to cut on costs, they had to move the series to the present time....sadly it didn't improve the story. In fact, the first season is really the best overall. The invisible jet and wonder girl are featured in a few episodes in the first season too which makes it a little more special.
Overall, the only good thing about the series was Linda Carter. She was hot. Only reason to watch it and you shouldn't watch it. Just check out pics of Linda Carter instead. Much better than the series.
I thought about doing it the other day but because the wait was so long I decided to just go up and get it done by myself much faster. I've only tried pick-up once and it didn't go well. I had to wait 24 hours (for a can of WD-40) and when I went to pick it up (after finally getting my notification) they didn't have it.
So while I was there, I just went to the section of the store, picked it up the shelf and just bought it then and there while they processed my refund for buying it remotely.
What a joke this service is!
Today I thought I'd talk about the cards I loved. Since I got out of the hobby back in 94', don't expect their to be anything mentioned after that year.
91 Stadium club was a beauty of a set. Loved the elegant look of these when they first came out. Definitely a head turner when I first saw them.I miss opening up a pack of cards and seeing what's in it. Trying to complete a collection and going to a card show was a huge part of my past. Baseball cards just aren't worth it anymore and that's a shame. With Spring Training kicking back up, I'm back to thinking about this cherished childhood memory.
Also, they're $5 a book now which is too expensive a hobby to take on. I have so many memories of buying them back in the 90's as a kid but I guess those days our gone.
I miss the old Waldenbooks days!
The new gen consoles of Playstation was the wake up call that arcades would soon be a thing of the past. I remember saying that myself when I saw the consoles coming out. That the graphics were as good as the arcades. I wondered what the arcades would due to counter and I got my answer. They went extinct.
But the reasoning behind it makes sense. It was a pretty interesting documentary and well worth you time if you played any of those classic games of theirs in the 90's.
Would I like to bring it back? 100% but this is going to be hard. If I didn't have a play to direct this year I would've attempted. One BIG block in the way is that I think someone lost all of my equipment for it so I'd have to buy everything all over again. (Not ideal) But who knows, maybe next year I'll try to give it a shot and resurrect it once again!
That's all folks! Have a good weekend!
Would I like to bring it back? Absolutely. Baseball's my favorite sport. Why wouldn't I want to bring this one back??
A LONG time ago we used to play an annual game of kids vs adults in basketball. It didn't last but a year or two if I remember and the adults killed us every time. In fact, I think the reason we stopped playing is because the adults knew we'd eventually start winning every year moving forward.
Would I want to bring it back? Yes, but I'm so old I can't hang on full court like a used to so it'd be embarrassing, but I'd still give it my best shot!
Bel Edwards is a coward. He is a man who wants to tow the party line even when it means destroying his state's economy.
He's a petty dictator. I can't wait for the next election to get him out of our lives for good.
Another "one and done" annual game I tried to get going was the "Quest for the Check" Every September I thought we'd get together and play putt putt golf for the chance to win a phony cardboard check!
And again.... I won. I'd never won on that course before but that time I did the best I'd ever done! Like the Turkey Bowl, I still have the giant sized cardboard check we used for it.
Would I like to bring it back? HECK YES!! I love putt putt but the course here closed so there's really nowhere good to go anymore, so I guess it'll have to wait until we find a new course.
I had an actual bowl covered in turkey stickers as the annual trophy. The first and only one we played... I won. I was amazed because I've NEVER been good at bowling though I enjoyed it. That night I was on my game. Getting splits and strikes almost every time. Highest score I ever had!
Would I want to bring it back? Yes. It was a lot of fun.
