Star Wars Rebels update

And now cementing the worst news I've heard since Jar Jar Binks, Star Wars has announced that Freddie Prince Jr will voice a "cowboy Jedi" in the new series. Therefore finalizing my decision that I will begin my "line" here and not be crossing over to Star Wars products from here on out.
A cowboy Jedi. Really? If the future of the franchise is going to look like this with Freddie Princes (and possibly Zac Efron's) walking around, then I'm glad I'll be missing it.

Sheesh!

I don't see the problem. He isn't an oscar caliber actor or anything, but he's a SW fan. He took the role in Wing Commander because he's a Star Wars fan. He'll do fine. He did a voice in the game Mass Effect 3, and was actually pretty good.

While I do hate the term "cowboy jedi" they seem to be basing his character on that of Kane (Kane-Kanan, see the similarities) Starkiller, which I think is kinda cool.

His look leaves a little to be desired, but it isn't terrible.

You don't see a problem with Fredddie Prinze Jr of Scooby Doo fame? Sure this former teenage heartthrob married Buffy but that's about it. He spells Prince with. Z for crying out loud.

So will you step up to the plate when Zac Efron signs on to Episode 7? Interesting....

Not really, no. Is he my favorite actor? No no nono, not by a long shot, but I don't hate him just because he was in Scooby Doo either. If someone asked you to be in Scooby Doo, and offered you money would you turn it down?

And while I've never seen the High School Musical movies, believe it or not Zac Efron is not a bad actor. 17 Again was actually a decent movie. However I highly doubt that he'll be in Star Wars VII, pretty much if you're an actor talking about auditioning, you didn't get the role.

From what I understand, a lot of the casting is probably coming from the higher end TV spectrum. There are rumors of some guy from Breaking Bad, I wouldn't be surprised if someone from Mad Men or Game of Thrones gets cast.

But in general I try not to rule someone out simply because of Disney channel roots. I mean Ryan Gosling is pretty good and he was a mouseketeer.

Mark Hamill did soap operas before Star Wars, and Corvette Summer immediately after.
