Superman 2
Kneel before ZOD!!
This movie has it all! Even the director's cut (which is a totally different movie than the one they put in theaters) is leaps and bounds above Superman 3. This had a great story, great bad guy and too many classic lines to quote. It's too bad Hollywood has failed to make a Superman movie like this once ever since.
Star Trek II
KHAAAAN!!!
I'll be honest, if every Star Trek movie had been this good I would've been a Trekkie easily. Hollywood still can't understand why they can't make a Star Trek movie better than this one. Um, here's a hint fella's STORY LINE!!!
This movie was so awesome not only for it's awesome plot but that it was also a direct tie to the original TV series. The picked up the story where it'd left off. There was no need to introduce the bad guy or explain his hatred of Kirk because it was already there! It the plot? Straight revenge! It works too because the time between the series and the movie help you understand and even "feel" the bitter rivalry between the 2.
Bravo Trekkies, bravo. This is the one (and only) film you can hold over our Star Wars heads.
Terminator 2
I remember being young and seeing this with my dad. It was our first R rated film to go see with him.... I loved it.
And it's still good today! Even watching the old Guns & Roses music video for the movie gets my happy face going! What a wonderful story, wonderful action and acting and even the special effects (for it's time) were unbelievable. SUCH a good movie!
Aliens
And so it comes to this....
Cameron could make a movie where he clones the same space marines, they go out to fight more Aliens on another remote planet, and my butt it sitting in the theaters all over again to see it.
This movie is so far superior over all the others in the series that they never should have made one afterwards. GREAT SEQUEL!

First off, Aliens is NOT better than Ridley Scott's original. But T2 definitely is - ironic that your last two picks, though, were both directed by Cameron (both original Terminator movies, in fact).
The only other films I'd add to this are Godfather 2 and Empire.

I almost put Godfather too but decided to save them for another category.
I have a couple problems with Superman 2 but overall I agree with you. 1: The thing where Superman takes the "S" off of his chest and it becomes a large cellophane net for the big stupid guy. 2: The disappearing act in the fortress of solitude where he keeps teleporting around the room. Other than that, it is far and away the best Superman movie, period. As far as Alien(s) go, personally I prefer the Cameron version, but all the groundwork was laid in the Ridley Scott version. BTW Prometheus looks to be amazing!
Prometheus does indeed look interesting.
