Sadly, this kind of thing might start happening again. Back in the late 70's, America faced a similar gas shortage. It was not uncommon for a person to have their gas stolen. A lot of people bought locking gas caps to prevent it.
Matt- yesterday a sign was put up outside our apartments about someone's tank being 'hit' in our parking lot...across the street this truck that had a locking cap had a full tank stolen! weird, eh? -Kajsa
I've heard if they really want your gas and you have a locking gas cap, some will resort to making a hole in your gas tank and draining it that way..it's actually quicker, too.
I hope this doesn't become a widespread problem! Although, gas in America is still a lot cheaper than Canada (we pay about $1 more per gallon) and other countries, so you've got that at least.

Funny how DRC knows the best way to drain a tank a gas.... Kajsa, I think we found your culprit right there. Let's bring the canuck to justice!
Hahaha well I'll be in Monroe in June so you can put me on trial then :)
