And finally in 91 Donruss also began their separate line of premium cards with a twist. The players weren't in action poses on the field but rather given professional looking shots in a studio. It was a unique idea which I loved.
4) 92 Studio
In my opinion, this was the only set of Studio I thought looked hideous. My brother collected this set but I was turned off by the bland design.
3) 94 Studio
Nice enough but each card was the exact same. The player's face and in the background a picture of their locker. Nothing else was unique about the cards.
2) 93 Studio
Beautiful looking set. I should've collected it. I love the signatures with the jersey in the background. So wonderful.
1) 91 Studio
But nothing beat the original. Man I went nuts when I first saw these cards. It was a low count to collect the whole set so I got them pretty easily. I thought "this is what I'm going to get every year they come out" But when I looked at 92, I realized they weren't always going to be perfect and moved on. Still, if you go online and look at some of these black and white photos they're simply breathtaking.
