Falling 53 spots in the rankings was due to two things. First I don't play as much as I used to and secondly because I forgot to count this game in my list last year and through it in last minute without much thought. Hard to say where it will be for 2017's list. But I imagine it'll still hang in there for the fact that I still love this classic game!
The only reason this one lost a few spots was due to more games being in the mix. Still a wonderful game though it faces some stiff competition this year in the face of so many newer games I've compiled.
Only dropping 5 spots is not bad at all for this classic! Though I worry about 2017 since I haven't played it yet and I fell it's going to need to get to the table or face a hard fall from my influx of newbies I've added to the collection!
This one hurt to drop so low from one to the next because I really do love this game. So smooth, easy and fun to play. With the expansion coming out this year I'm hoping it climbs back in to the Top 20 fro me in 2017. At the time of this ranking, I'd just played it for the first time that year and was blown away by it!
To only fall 2 spots in the rankings is great a testament to how good I think this game is. I still play it from time to time and enjoy every moment of it! Now after buying another mini-expansion for it, I know it's destined to hit the table again this year. Superior game!
I think the thing that hurt this game so much is that it's gets lost in the shuffle during board game nights. I want to bring it out but there's always another game that takes it spot at the last minute. I do plan on having an all day race and keeping track with a point system. I think that would be awesome and it would definitely help it again in the 2017 rankings at the end of the year.
You knew this game had to be in it. My gateway game is still seeing the table in 2017 because it's so popular with my gaming group still to this day! But with how the company treats it's fans I'm not sure it'll be in my Top Ten again though only time will tell I guess.
It went up against 80 games and beat them all. It has to go up against almost as many this year so we'll see how it stands. However, if I get my way and have a 9 player game, using the entire map and all expansions going this year...yeah, I bet this sucker doesn't budge a bit!
Ahh, 2015 was the year I discovered this game for the first time and fell in love right away with it! So far I've played it 3 times in 2017 with a 4th time around the corner! Securing it's spot I bet for this year's rankings. This isn't just a board game, it's an experience!
Hail to the king baby! This game is a solid #1 and will be for many years to come I bet. Every season I play is just as enjoyable as the last! It's reign looks eternal but you never know for how long right?
