I remember a game, not that long ago, maybe ten years or so, where kids had these monsters. Then they had to scan bar-codes to level up their monsters and make them stronger, faster and smarter. Any bar-code would do. I seem to remember seeing a couple of kids grocery shopping with their mom, scanning random bar-codes.
You might be on to something here Matt. I could be marketed as an educational game too.
Which, of course, would promptly kill it on the market.
