Let's see what we have to wrap up 2017 shall we?
The Greatest Showman
Megan wants to see this and I'm a little inclined to check it out as well. It's looks surprisingly interesting!
Jumanji
Nope. This looks terrible. No interest at all. Even confused how this got green lit in the first place. Slim pickings this month!
Guess that's all the important movies coming out this month! Wait.... I think there was another one but I can't remember now....hmmmm... I wonder if it's a blockbuster movie I can nothing about anymore?
Have a good one folks!

Top 5 Board games I dominate in!
Yesterday I gave you the games I'm worst at, let's look at the ones where I am KING!
5) Zombies!!! (70% win ratio)
I've played this game hundreds of times and most of them have been victories I'm proud to say. Though I didn't win them all back in the day against my original game group I did eventually increase in skill and have a good chance at taking the game in the end. Just another reason in a list of endless ones for why I love the game so much!
4) Fomrula D (70% win ratio)
Tied with Zombies!!! with wins and probably just under Zombies!!! in "Most boardgame ever played" but this race car game is a lot of fun and I've got the dice rolling down to a science on this one. Knowing when to hit the gas or slow things down is the key to winning and if I make it through the first track with less than half damage on my car, I'm almost guaranteed the win. The only reason this one out ranks Zombies!!! is because I think I get better the more I play it.
3) Pandemic (90% win ratio)
And rising! Nowadays we hardly ever lose at this coop game. My friends and I know exactly what to do and how to handle the viruses as they spread. Sure the game gets away from us every once in a while but usually we are guaranteed the win. We play with both the On the Brink and In the Lab expansions and I've recently seen fit to start including the hard Event cards from State of Emergency to see if that makes this a tougher challenge. We shall see...
2) Twilight Imperium (95% win ratio)
I've only lost once and that was the first time I ever played. I barely lost too! Ever since I've been the master of this game. Wheeling and dealing with a constant eye on scoring points. It's easy to get lost in this epic game but I've managed no to fall for its trap and avoided losing myself and the myriad of ways you can play the game. Someday though my 2nd lose will come and when that day arrives, I'll shake the man's hand and let him know it won't happen again. : )
1) Spartacus (100% win ratio)
That's right folks! In a game where you have to scheme against others, outbid and beat them in the arena for prestige, I AM SPARTACUS!!! Another game where a lot of players get lost because there's so much going on in the game. Even if you're not fighting in the arena you're betting on it which is just as exciting as times. Again, I have a flawless strategy which boils down to skill and luck by winning in the arena. The game is magnificent and I rue the day I will be disgraced with a loss.

Top 5 Board game I usually lose at
You can't win them all as the saying goes and nothing could be truer of these board games I'm about to list. I love them all, but hardly win. Here goes!
5) Project Elite (Win 50% of the time)
Such a hard coop game that either I have a 50/50 of winning. It's really hard but incredibly fun to play. I don't think my gaming group has won yet. I always lose on solo play and the only time I stand a chance is when I play with Megan who's pretty good at chucking dice. But even then we have a slight winning percentage at that.
4) Firefly (Win 40% of the time)
Another excellent game that I love to play but hardly ever win because I'm always focused on building my ship, crew and items up to their max potential. Once I accomplish that....someone usually wins the game. In group play I'd say I have about a 15% chance, playing solo I tend to win more since I'm racing against the clock and don't have any other chance. So that's what brings my win percentage up to 40%
3) Quartz (Win 20% of the time)
This push your lick game has you digging in a bag and praying for no whammies! I love the quick play and high intensity the game delivers. It's an amazing simple mechanic and I almost always push too hard and bust in the end. Rarely is a victory ever had but it does happen from time to time and my strategy has never changed.
2) Food Chain Magnate (Win 10% of the time)
I should say 10% and falling. Because the more I play this amazing game the more evident it is that I'm going to fail at it. Building your on franchise from the ground up is so much fun that before you know it you've already fallen behind in the game and there's nothing you can do! Absolutely fabulous game that I may never win again.
1) The Adventurers (Win 0% of the time)
Both games. Never won. Can't even make it out of the temple. And the one time I came close? I died right at the doorway. What an incredible game that has you collection treasures while the whole time you're trying to escape from the board. I'd like to at least escape the building once, even if I don't end up winning it'll still feel like a victory to me!
I guess now you know what to ask to play when you come over to my house now. : )

Black Friday Bust
Don't know about you but I didn't buy a single thing this weekend. Guess nothing out there really caught my attention. Is it me or do the deals get less exciting as the years go by?

Happy Thanksgiving Day!
Easiest my favorite day of the year. I love what it symbolizes and I hate how it's largely ignored. Thanksgiving Day is a wonderful holiday and one I will always cherish. I'm so thankful for every moment of my life and what God's given me.
My family, my friends and all the many blessings I've received in my lifetime. give me more than enough to be thankful for!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING DAY EVERYONE!!!

Cult of Chucky Review
Now that it's been over a month since the movie's been out, I can finally give me SPOILER review.
I've watched Child's Play a couple of times back in the day and always enjoyed them. I thought "Bride" and "Seed" of Chucky were below par but with "Curse" I thought the series had gotten back on track.
And then this one came out....
I'm not saying it's bad, it's just...confusing. The plot makes no sense and we really aren't given a reason why Chucky went through with the whole thing in the first place. It ends on a "cliffhanger" which means another installment is in the works. I'll see it but I hope they do a better job at explaining the story.
For the good stuff, the original actor who played "Billy" in the first 3 movies is back and has more screen time than the previous movie's cameo. With all the effort they go through trying to keep the story in continuity with the others it's disappointing they chose not to tighten the story up in this one.
Basically, there are several "Chucky's" because the doll has finally found a way to "copy" himself on to others. We're told he picked it up in a "Voo-doo for Dummies" book (which is funny) but that's really all they ever say about it. Andy is captured but Chucky but not killed...though that was his plan earlier, Chucky also wants to kill the girl from the last movie but spares her too because it was all "part of the plan" though previous scenes contradict that. It feels like someone wrote one half of the script while the other half was written bye someone who skimmed through the first part and made up his on ending before checking if it made any sense.
Either way it's still on Netflix so if you're board and want to check it out go ahead. If you never saw anything after Child's Play 3, you're good to go ahead and not get involved.

Dark Phoenix Saga Review
Amazon gave me a free digital trade paperback a few months ago and I didn't know what to pick because all the comics available were Marvel. So I went with this series. I'd heard so much about it and have seen it played out in the movies and cartoon series, I thought it's be neat to read the actually comic from where all these stories originated.
And....it was different. Kinda underwhelming considering what all other stories have been made about it. Not a single telling of this story comes close to what is portrayed in the comic. In a few short issues, Jean Grey turns into Dark Phoenix and 3 issues later, "dies"
I wonder how this story got to be so popular for fans? Nothing about it screams "groundbreaking" of "epic"
The Hellfire club is the main enemy responsible for Jean Grey's transformation, but they're nothing but a bunch of high class people living in 17th century clothing, which explains why no one ever copied the story from the comic. That's right folks, the movies and cartoon did it BETTER!
Anyway, glad I got a chance to read it, now I can further confirm DC comics are much better than Marvel.

Weeks to months, months to years
I can't believe we're already closing in on another month. I can't believe how fast the entire year has gone by for that matter!
I remember when I was fresh out of high school I complained to an older guy I worked with at the time that the days always seem to drag by.
He told me something I'll never forget. He said that the older you get the faster time flies. Days blow by at first, then weeks, followed by months and before you know it, years have passed.
I didn't really catch his meaning but I do now. Days, weeks and months seem to fly by and though I'm not quite up to watching the years fly by I can only imagine it wouldn't be long.
To quote Ferris Beuller "Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once and a while, you might miss it."
Just some food for thought.

The Meat Mountain
Saw this at Arby's and couldn't resist.
It looks disgusting and something out of a horror film. The lady said no one had yet to finish one that she'd seen.
Until that night when I took that sucker down!!!
Arby's may have "the meats" but I now have....the "meat" sweats!
Have a good weekend everybody!

Buccee's
A while back Megan and I were driving thru Texas and we came across the rest stop/ gas station called Buccee's.
Home of the "Beaver Bites"......yep.
This place was huge.
And carried lots of stuffed beavers.
Ever wanted a beaver for a pillow? Have I got a deal for you!
Beaver balls. Weird in more ways than one.
Giant beaver.
I'm afraid to ask what's on this CD.
So glad to know they have their own rating system here. I walked away with a Coon Skin cap, Megan got a slurpy....I won on good decisions of what to get.

The sotry of the Dark Chocolate Shake
Years ago I went to my first Steak N Shake and order a Dark Chocolate shake. I received instead a mint chocolate shake, a waitress who refused to admit she made a mistake and a manager who eventually through me out because I made fun of the waitress for not knowing the difference between a green colored shake with peppermint sprinkles and a Dark Chocolate shake.
Ever since then, I've been on a quest to get one and up till now it's finally come true. But it wasn't easy. As Megan as my witness, every time I've ordered this shake they bring me something different. Once it was a banana split shake and another time it was chocolate strawberry. I have no idea why this always happens to me and I always agree to drink whatever they bring out to me but have always found it strange they never bring out the right order.
And then last September in Dallas someone finally got it right. I couldn't believe it. Even had to taste it to make sure. I was so shocked I sent a pic to the friends who took me to my very first visit all those years ago.
Crazy!

Hat Time 2
These were also taken at Walmart the same night we took the other hat pics.
They were stuffed mascot heads for some reason.
Only $10!
So of course I had to try each one on before making my decision.
Sloth?
This was a close runner up but eventually....
...this won out. Yep....have no idea what to do with it but at least I own one now.

Hat time
Still digging through old pics on my phone I found these we took at Walmart last month while shopping for groceries.
This is why it takes us an hour and half to get out of the store.
To be honest....the pics were my idea.
But Megan didn't mind playing along with me.
To be honest... I liked this hat the best on her.
Look at that HUGE wiener!

Things you can buy...but why would you?
Megan wanted to get this for Halloween so bad but when I saw this talking standup came with a $250 price tag....I knew it was NOT meant to be!
PJ onesies are the "thing" now I guess.
Megan REALLY wants me to get this one so she can get the other Care Bear with the Rainbow on it so match.
Who would want to dress up as a cock?
A pillow bag of cheesy puffs.....ok.....
Gross but I have to be honest, I giggled when I saw it.
Out of these three shirts I like the one on the bottom best.
Have a good weekend folks!
