As you can see, even Charity's energy was worn out by the end of our day there!

Mexico

Finishing up our tour of Epcot was Mexico. We didn't ride the lazy river there... and I can't remember why not?! I like that ride too!

In Norway at Epcot they have one of the BEST rides ever! It's the viking ride and it rocks! My favorite part is at the end of the ride where they say in a heavy accent "We are the Norway"

Yeah,know most of you don't care but it's a Sunday, I don't have to post important stuff on the weekends. It's amazing to see how much my little nephew's grown. Last week he came over and played "Zombies!!!" with me...making him my favorite nephew of them all. : )

What a great game. I enjoyed seeing Mookie Wilson (their first base coach) most of all! I just wish I could have gotten a game ball but no luck there.

Overall it was great not only seeing my Mets win but seeing them "live". There's NOTHING like a live baseball game!

This weekend, Megan and I went to see the Mets vs the Rangers. We had great seats for it too! I'm going to post a few videos today of our time there, hope you enjoy!

Steak and Shake Adventure

So I went to Steak and Shake this weekend in Dallas and for the past few years I've visited this restaurant I've ordered a dark chocolate shake every time and every time (3 to be exact) they've given me something else.

The first time they came out with a mint chocolate chip shake. When I told the lady what it was, she got the manager and had me THROWN OUT of the restaurant!! No joke!! I couldn't believe it. I wasn't even making a big deal out of it either!

The 2nd time I got a vanilla instead... so I shut my mouth and ate it while everyone else fell out of the chairs laughing.

So I'm thinking there's no way this can happen again right? But when my order comes out what do I see? A strawberry banana shake! UNBELIEVABLE!! What are the freaking odds it would happen again?!



Finally, after several years (and another trip back to the kitchen for the waiter) I received my dark chocolate shake. Incredible!! I was SO shocked when they actually brought it to me that I didn't know what to do for the first few minutes.



So how was it? GREAT!

So on our trip we got to see Tinkerbell this time around. It was weird because her "guy fairy" was with her taking pictures and Megan didn't want to take it with him in the picture. So I had to be "that guy" and tell the male fairy to back away from my woman.

Say goodbye to all of your favorite characters as you knew them in the DC universe!

If you didn't already hear the news, starting in September, DC will be REVAMPING all their characters and starting every comic book at #1. This is such a horrible tragedy I don't know where to begin.

First off, classics like Detective Comics and Action Comics have been around for about #900 issues. I was looking forward to buying a legitimate #1000th issue in 4 years but now... nothing. It's like an undefeated streak coming to an end just before hitting a legendary milestone!

A sad day for the comic book world indeed. Now if you're buying books get ready for the "new", "hipper" young twenty something, Batman, Superman (with new costume... again)and all the others... I'm going to go throw up now.

If you ever go to Animal Kingdom the very first thing you should do that morning is go on this ride. It's SO much fun!

So it's been a month since our vacation and I'm just now getting around to posting our videos from it.

Here's when we first arrived and saw Charity for the first time. Megan's not faking in the video here, for some reason she's sincerely happy to see Charity.

Man used to be a legend until he was deemed too "racist" and forced into retirement. Why racist? The guns, the gold tooth (not shown in this picture) and the fact that he'd try to "steal" your fritos. Absolutely ridiculous. I wish they could make fun of a "white guy" somewhere.

You know, make him... I don't know, dumb, arrogant, clueless, take your pick! Make fun of us to your hearts content and guess what? I wouldn't be offended. At all. Like I said, totally ridiculous.

Look at this guy. He looks more ridiculous to me than cool. How could a kid look at this and say "OOH! I want to smoke too!!"

No, they want to smoke for other reasons. To be rebellious, look "cool", influenced by their favorite on screen action hero, who knows! There are a million reasons why a kid would want to smoke... Joe the Camel wasn't one of them.

Ridiculous ramblings

So I'm sure some of you have heard this by now, but there's a group fighting McDonald's to "retire" their mascot Ronald because he promotes child obesity.

WHAT?!

One of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard! (by the way, weren't we all supposed to die last Saturday?) First off, clowns are NOT in. Kids don't like clowns these days, they're more afraid of them, than love'em.

Plus, I'm amazed no one's pointed a finer at the real culprit here... the parents. They act like these kids can get in a car, drive to Micky D's and order themselves a Big Mac off their parent weekly allowance. HELLO!! It's the parents of these kids that are the ones making the bad choices for them.

"Oh, but it appeals to the children!" you say. Ok, so do toy commercials, movies and a million other things, but as a parent you can say "No." to that, right??

So why don't the parents own up and blame themselves instead of a fast food restaurant which even the biggest of idiots can tell you they don't deal in health food products?!

Some days I just don't get it.

If your a parent, YOU control what your children eat. As kids, we hardly went out. Mom cooked us some pretty mean meals but they were healthy and the right thing for us to eat. (even if we didn't like them from time to time) Going out was a treat for special occasions.

Now lazy parents run by the fast food place every evening because it's easier to do that than cook. I'm not saying it's wrong to do that from time to time when you've had a busy day, but EVERY DAY? Yeah, that's an issue.

Just to let you know, I have no special interest in McDonalds. I just hate when people try to pass the blame onto somebody else for something that is ultimately their own fault.

Tomorrow we'll look at a few other silly decisions against corporate mascots!

After several years I've decided to give Netflix another try. So far, so good. My DVD's still take a while to get to me (as always) they never arrive on the estimated date.

But the streaming video is nice. I've watched a few things on it, I just wish they had more stuff I was interested in on streaming.
