Fun Fact Friday is all about “word” knowledge this week folks!
Did you know “underground” is the only word in the English language that begins and ends with the letters “und”?
And according to the Oxford dictionary the longest word is “pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis”
The longest place name still in use a hill in New Zealand called “taumatawbakatangihangakoauaotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokiawhenuakita”
And the only word in the English language that uses just one vowel 6 times is the word “Indivisibility”
Also the words “Facetious” and abstemious” are the only 2 in the English language that use all the vowels in order.
Oh and wanna know what the 2nd longest word is? “antidisestablishmenterianism”
Ha! Not even close to being first right?
