What the Star Wars Expanded Universe needed more of.

Part 2 of my discussion from yesterday, this time on what the EU needed more of.

1) More Lando

It's no secret, I love this man. And after serving 2 movies out of the entire trilogy he hardly gets any love at all within the EU. He's just as interesting as Han Solo and perhaps more so because he wasn't tied down to Leia. He was a true scoundrel! But for some reason most authors avoided using him for their stories.

What a shame...

2) More Shadows of the Empire

This book got al the hype back in the 90's then died off into obscurity for over a decade before another story was told using one of it's introductory characters Dash Rendar.

I don't get it. You opened up a new world of characters yet never brought any of them back for more adventures. Who wouldn't have read a Dash/Han story? Or one about Guri? The possibilities were literally endless!

3) More Video Game Novelizations

Besides Force Unleashed, The Old Republic, Galaxies, Republic Commando and Dark Forces there was very little else written about these fantastic games in book form. Why didn't every video game come out as a book? You see it all the time today and these even have the advantage of having the Star Wars name on their brand so what was the deal?!

Again I don't get it but only with they had.

K, I'm done with this topic. See you later folks!

The new Marvel Lando comic, as well as the episode(s) of Star Wars Rebels have Lando down perfectly.

But that's new canon, which holds no interest to me. :)
