For the past 3 years Fantasy Flight has been releasing print and plays for the game and I've been in the dark about it!
Not just scenarios either yet that is included in each expansion.
The 1st Codex comes with updates tech tree cards and some NEW action cards which look pretty sweet! My favorite is "Plagiarism" which allows you to spend resources to copy someone else's technology without having to have the pre-requisites for it. WOW.
The 2nd Codex comes with even more, as now you have these ambassadors you can give to other players with whom you have promissory notes with. It re-affirms your committed to them and encourages more alliances in the game, which is good because it always feels like these games turn into "every man for himself" scenarios pretty much every time we play.
But the 3rd Codex is the most wonderful of all since it comes with a NEW RACE! I'm currently involved with a group who's working to get professional quality pieces for all three Codex's that are out right now. According to them, we should get them by June (which means July because I'm not an idiot)
Either way, it's going to be VERY interesting to see what these Codex's bring to an already incredible game. I can't wait....
