Another annual sport I tried to make into a tradition was an indoor hockey game.
I even went as far to get a quote from the skating rink on how much it would be to host one there!
We got the name from the Dabney Center, which was something I church was doing at the time. The idea was to get those students involved and all play a game. This would not include "adults" as the others had because we knew no parent in our church would want to play.
But there were a hardcore 6 of us who played every week and we thought we could make this dream happen.....but we ended up being the only ones interested in holding such an annual game so it folded before it could start.
Would I bring it back today? Yes. But there would probably be LESS people interested in it today as there were 30 years ago!
