Incredible!
So after seeing the previous video online, the one thing they stuck out to me was the guy who was actually RUNNING ON WATER! So I decided to look more up on him and discovered this. Enjoy!

Call 1-900-......
Remember when the big movie was about to come out, but before you went to see it (in a theater near you) you could also dial a 1-900 number to get all the juicy information about what was going to happen. (remember kids, ask your parents permission)
You called the number and for $1.99 (or some ridiculous price like that) you got to hear your favorite stars "gossip" about what was going on.
Well I never got to call when I was a kid, but this is one number I wish I had!!
C-ya!

Lost Years (10)
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Mr Ben Chase, who "wowed" the entire crowd with his version of "Chopsticks"
The part I love the most in this video is when he starts playing for real and you hear a pause before the audience goes completely nuts. So why the delay? Well, you couldn't see it in the video but everyone's mouth in the entire theater was wide open in astonishment. (including me) It was truly an amazing thing to see.
Enjoy!

What's going on??
This is sad. I'm watching a very good team implode on national television. After defeating the 2 BEST teams in Major League Baseball, the Rangers are falling apart.
CJ Wilson gets ZERO support from the Ranger bats and his relievers give up a total of 8 runs to the Giants AND 3 OF THEM WERE WALKS!!??
Unbelievable! A team with this much talent is just getting embarrassed by a San Fransisco team....
Lost Years (9)
Finally some familiar faces in this video! Jordan, Hollie, and Caleb Peacock... all young!!
Then it's back to Lindsey and Katie as they totally disrespect my name tags! And finally, a little "behind the scenes" footage of my and the boys before we went onstage for our big act! (coming soon)
yoda dance
For those of you who need a little "pick me up" to make it thru the rest of the week... here ya go.

Game 1 and done...
Lost Years (8)
This is priceless footage of my good friend Mauri Dearing. Watch as I accuse her of setting off the fire. Greg (one of the guys from yesterday's video) delivers one of my favorite quotes of all time "IT'S CREAM FILLED!!!"
Hilarious stuff.

Lost Years (7)
Same night of the fire alarm, I was interviewing Marianna Haggard and these guys came out of nowhere and gave me the best footage EVER from that night! Just watch..

Lost Years (6)
Today we start off with a video of two of my oldest friends, Lindsey and Katie as they have a grand ole time of mocking me and my southern accent.
The next few clips are a few interviews I did after someone pulled the fire alarm by mistake and we all had to exit the building.
Just to let you know, I got a lot of good footage that night, this is only the first half of it.

Here's more footage of Bray, Jonathan, Chris, and even Jad as I make my own commentary about Canadians.

Lost Years (4)
The first clip is of the LSC (little sweet canuck) Teema, who is Jad's sister. (see folks, I even made fun of small people way back then too!)
The next is of me and Matt Newsome (Chris' older brother) who everyone believed to be the spitting image of Matthew Peacock (if you know who that is) And then of course Chris has to get back in the shot.... enjoy.

Lost Years (3)
This next clip is of that lovable idiot, Chris Newsome. Who I had so much hilarious footage of, he practically looked like the host of my edited video I sent out that year. Here's a clip to see what I mean.

One to go...
Lost Years (2)
This clip show the DRC (Dirty Rotten Canuck) Jad, a young Will Barham, Miss Vickie Orr, and yes even me.. in a shirt I STILL wear to this day! (Hmmm... I'm not really sure if I can be proud of that)
In the clip I'm with Jessie and Carl as we're plotting on taking that couch into our dorm room. (we eventually did)
The last clip is of the Swedish kid who was their at the CWSC. (Christian Worldview Student Conference)
Meet Megan's new crush
So Megan has officially watched more post season games than I have. I came home last night to find her in front of the TV cheering her heart out for the Rangers. Why has my wife become a huge Rangers fan all of the sudden?
Is she a front runner? No. She thinks Rangers pitcher CJ Wilson.... is cute. I see her jump a little with excitement whenever they show him in the dugout too.
Oh well, at least they beat the Yankees again last night. Here's to hoping they sweep in New York!

Lost Years (1)
So this first video I have ready for ya'll doesn't really have much in it but future installments will I assure you. This is from the CWSC of '99
I picked this clip first to show everyone what the OLD Bray was like. (yes, I have the good stuff)
In this clip we have Bray and Jonathan showing me that they're going to do nothing but sit around on their thumbs all day.

Attah boy!!
Chase... year one.
So today marks my one year anniversary since joining Chase and so far I have to say I love it.
I have a great boss and and awesome team to work with, I couldn't ask for anything more. I've really been blessed this year and I'm so thankful to be in the position I am with the company.
Ok, that's all. Like I said, I've just been feeling the urge to post a lot more lately. Hmmm.... will this lead to multiple posts per day?
Perhaps...
NOOO!!!

Boys and girls.... have I got a surprise for you....
Ever wonder (or think back) to what I was like 11 years ago?
Well startingthis week you'll get to see it for yourself!
After several long years I finally had all my 8MM footage converted to DVD, so starting next week I'll be posting "Matt Wilkins: The Lost Years 1999-2004" for everyone to enjoy.
And who knows... maybe a younger version of yourself or someone you know may pop up as well... you'll just have to wait and see...next week.

Coming November 2nd....
Wednesday, October 13, 2010
Right on!
Maybe it's that time of year or maybe there's something in the water but my YouTube subscriptions have been growing day by day. The Zombies!!! Board Game Reviews I gave a few months back are really starting to take off. Who knew.
I'm getting some good feedback from the poll. Thanks for everyone who voted... though getting Megan to post regularly is not going to happen, I'll try and see if she's willing to post every once in a while but that's the best I can do.
Ok, that's all for tonight. Sorry, I was just in a posting mood.

Hooray Rangers!!
Congratulations to the Texas Rangers, for winning their first playoff series ever AND becoming the first team in MLB history to win all games away from home. Incredible.
This is a team that had to file for bankruptcy this season and now they're on top of the world. New owner Nolan Ryan must be proud.
I'm cheering for you all the way now! BEAT THEM YANKEES!!!!
Boo Tampa Bay fans
Boo to the Tampa Bay fans. First off, you never supported your team the whole season even though they had THE BEST record in baseball. Heck!! They even GAVE you folks 20,000 free tickets when they clinched a spot in the playoffs so you shmucks would show up!!
And in the 8th inning of the final playoff game against the Rangers, what did you do?? WENT HOME!!! My mouth DROPPED as I saw empty seats ALL behind home plate in the 9th inning!
Tampa Bay is the WORST city for sports!! PLEASE someone take such a great team as the Rays and put them somewhere they can be appreciated. New Orleans perhaps?
I would NEVER do that when it came to the Mets. Everyone remembers my post about them a few years back when they faced the Cardinals. 3 games down and I still believed in them. I never gave up! What the Rays fan do just make me sick!
My hats off to that ball club, they played a great series. I just hate that your fans were never truly there for ya.

Another new Weezer album?!
Anyone getting the new Weezer album, out November 2nd of THIS YEAR!?
Yes, they just had one come out last month so what gives? Well, supposedly this album is chalked full of tracks that got tossed from their last 2 albums. Now when I hear this it makes me kinda mad.
1) There was only 10 track on both albums (15 if you count the deluxe editions) PLENTY of room to put extra tracks of music out there for the fans. Why wait and release them separately? Are you really that greedy?
2) Weezer has released an album out every year ever since "Red" came out. Which leaves me to believe that the past 2 albums since (Ratitude and Hurley) have been nothing but leftover junk from the Red album with 2 or 3 new songs thrown in.
Now with the release of this, I'm almost certain of it.
Did you know a guy has offered the band 10 million to break up?? Upon hearing the release of this new album, I'm almost willing to pitch in...
PS- Yes, I'm a sucker and will end up buying this.

Let's Go....
After firing our worthless manager and GM I think the Mets may actually have a shot at the playoffs next year. Also, do you know who they're talking about bringing in as the Mets manager next year? The "man" Bobby Valentine!! Now it's only talk right now nothing in stone but can you just imagine?! This is the best sports new I've heard all year!
Not that it mattered to any of you I'm sure.
Rangers take an incredible 2 game lead over the Rays, Twins choke again and Braves lose a crushing 1-0 to the Giants. Once again, besides the "win" by the Yanks, good baseball.

Why aren't you watching this?!
What a day for baseball eh?? The Rangers upset the Rays at home 5-1 in Game 1 and the Phillies Roy Halladay makes baseball history by throwing the 2nd EVER no-hitter in a post-season game!
The only thing that would have made this night fantastic was a Yankees loss! But unfortunantly that didn't happen after the Twins coughed up 4 runs in the 6th inning and I turned off my TV because I knew it was over by then.
So... what's next?

Mascot's Tussle at Ohio State Game
Before you watch this, let me give you the back story. The mascot who tackles the Ohio State Mascot "Bucky" was this kid who's sole purpose to try out for team mascot... was to tackle Bucky on the field of play.
The opposing team fired the kid and booted him out of school. They also sent a letter of apology to Ohio State over the incident. Now that you know this, watch the footage..
TOO FUNNY RIGHT?? So I'm to believe that this kids sole purpose in life was to tackle the mascot of Ohio State?!?!
I love it.

Star Wars in 3-D
Yeah, yeah, I heard the news. You can stop texting and emailing me now.
So Lucas has decided once again to cash in on his movies by offering them in 3-D, wasn't it last year we all heard him talk about how 3-D had been done before and that the future of movie cinema would not be so impacted by this re-furbished phenomenon?
Well, in his own words, after seeing Avatar he decided Star Wars was ready for a 3-D treatment. (How I despise you George) But more interesting than this further debauchery of my favorite films(that's right folks I used the word "debauchery")I'm surprised to see so many folks agreeing with me that Lucas has gone too far.
What's this?? A Rebellion stirring against Emperor Lucas himself?? SIGN ME UP!!
So the question everyone's been asking me "Will [I] watch them?" .............. sigh..... yes I suppose so. But only because I can never turn down seeing the SW films on the big screen. There's something so special about going to those screenings. I've NEVER had a better time at the movies than when I was seeing those films.
The excitement and energy of the crowd really did make it memorable. The other question I got from two of you is that you wanted to know if you could watch it with me..... um, sure. But don't expect me to be dressing up nerdy of swinging a lightsaber while in the theater..... I did that back in '97
Have a good weekend folks!
