Our winner!

I have to admit, I thought Lucky was going to take this round but it turns into the Tiger's favor at the end of our week!

I kinda have a feeling we're in for a great championship match... c-ya next week!

I didn't believe it... even when I heard the news, I still found it hard to believe. Ed McMahon, yeah... he's old. Farrah Faussit (sp?) we all knew she was going soon... but MJ?! How does that happen?!

Out of the blue too right? As you know, I'm a Jackson fan and always have been. I know the guys personal life wasn't all that bright and shiney but it still doesn't stop the fact that the man had some talent for coming up with a sweet tune.

It's strange... like when Kurt Cobain died (though I didn't care much for him in the first place) But could this be the biggest pop culture death since.... (dare I say) Elvis?!

I'm not trying to put the guy on a pedestal but whoa... this is big.... I'm going to go listen to my "Dangerous" album again.

Ok, so the post I wanted to make for today wasn't finished in time, so maybe next week on that one.

For now, how bout a little reflection on the summer so far.

First off, I've been so busy I haven't even realized summer is here. Rememeber when you were a kid and summer was the best thing ever?! It meant, sleeping in everyday, no homework to do and lots of activites to plan.

Now it's just a hot time of the year that we wish to avoid by staying inside as much as we can. Don't get me wrong, I'm not wishing for my younger years. In fact, the "younger years" will always remind me of schoolwork, test and writing papers! Blech!!

I'm so glad to be done with it all! Ok, we'll see who are winner is tomorrow..... later!

Final Frontier?

Everyone loves pictures. I hear it all the time "Why don't you post more pictures like Megan does?!" So today I'm giving you a few pics that haven't been put out on the web! These were taken recently (Megan wanted to do them) What do you think? Capt Megan of the starship... "Pink Chiwahwah"?!
Or how do you like her smirk when she administers to me her "vulcan death grip"?
Oooh.... we're posing for the next star trek poster.
This one looks as if it'd be one of those pictures on the DVD to Voyager...... or something.

Ok, so there's my pic post for today! C-ya!

Another "me" update

So it's been a while, I thought I'd just give an update on what's new with me.

I no longer work with the Radio People anymore. I left on good terms but for a better paying (and hopfully) successful job with an insurance company here in town. I had a lot of good times at the station and will always be welcomed back but this new job is very exciting for me right now. I'm really looking forward to getting the ball rolling on it.

Ok, that's all for now. Tomorrow.... PICTURES!!

Slight change

I took out the local weather report since I don't think it's really that important to have. Other than that, "this day in history" and the baseball stats are still located at the bottom of the page.

Best Disney Movies (part 3)

Now it's my turn. Two movies Megan missed. The Black Cauldron. My favorite as a kid. It's dark, but funny and was a great story. This was my number one Disney movie for years until....
The Emporor's New Groove came out. This, hands down beats them all. I laughed so hard during this one I can't ever imagine Disney making a funnier animated classic than this!

Ok, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in there! See ya!

Best Disney Movies (part 2)

Hi Guys! I'm back with part 2! Let's go!
101 Dalmations. Cruella DeVille always scared me and the movie was so intense the whole way thru because you didn't know if they were going to make it back safe or not. And the puppies were adorable!!
Peter Pan. I always thought this movie was great because as a child you imagine flying away some where (like Neverland) with meremaids, pirates, and indians. In fact, I used to pretend to be Tiger Lily all the time. Remeber the "real life" version of the play? Were Peter was played by a girl? Well I knew Tiger Lily's dance by heart in that movie! (I was a dork) But it's still a great movie!
Aladdin. I don't know why I like it so much, it's probably my 3rd favorite Disney movie of all time. Jasmine, Aladdin, Abu and Genie was all really good characters and the "A Whole New World" is an awesome song!
The Little Mermaid. 2nd favorite. It was my favorite movie growing up. Flounder is adorable and is my favorite character out of this movie. "Part of your World" is a great song too!!
Beauty and the Beast. Best Disney movie. Ever. It's my #1 favorite. I wanted to live in an enchanted castle with talking candle sticks and clocks. And Belle has the best dress of all the Disney Princesses!

Honorable Mentions: Sword and the Stone
Oliver and Company
Lady and the Tramp
Sleeping Beauty

Final Encore....

Yes, I've decided to do one final play. It's the best one I've ever had the privilege to do. Jekyll and Hyde is my #1 favorite musical of them all and at the Rose Theatre in Bastrop I'm finally getting my chance to do it!

If any guys wants to come join the cast with me, your welcome to! We needed several more guys and if you ever wanted to be in a play with me, this is it! You can e-mail or call me if you're interested. The practices are light and the fun is immense.

After this play I'll settle back into retirement like Bilbo Baggins does in Lord of the Rings. Heh heh, maybe my auto-biography will be "There and Back Again" while I'm at it!

Ok folks, that's all for now. C-ya!

Best Disney Movies (part 1)

Hi guys! Here's another topic that needs to be addressed and I don't think Matt's the one to do it. So I'm giving you.... in no particular order, THE BEST Disney movies ever made! Ok, here we go...

Alice in Wonderland, I remember watching this one a lot as a kid. I was always curious why the rabbit was always late. But as I got older I realized it explained what he was late for all along. I love the "Unbirthday" song too!
Dumbo. I always thought Dumbo was the cutest Disney animal EVER!! And I wanted a baby elephant that looked just like him when I was little. I always thought it was sad when he was seperated from his mother.
Robin Hood. I've always been a fan of the and Robin Hood movies and this one not only was good but had great songs with it too!
The Jungle Book. CLASSIC! This is the movie that we always had to watch before we took our afternoon nap. The little boy reminds me of Archer with darker and longer hair.
The Fox and the Hound. This movie was sad, but they were the best of friends. I always wanted them to remain friends at the end, but it never happened. Maybe it did in the sequel, I don't know. I never watched it.

Ok, I'll be back with many more tomorrow!
