Freddy's Nightmares (review)

One of Megan's Xmas presents from me this past year was the complete TV Series of Freddy's Nightmares.

The Nightmare on Elm Street TV show that ran from 1988-1990. I'd always heard about it as a kid and Megan's a big fan so it was fun for both of us to watch this series together.

Now that we're thru with them I have to say that it's not that bad a job! The series is similar to a "Tales from the Crypt" where Freddy introduces the next "victim" to have a nightmare. The pilot show is about how the town's people killed Freddy in the first place.

The stories are decent, creative and imaginative and they all have the same feel of the movies. Each episode a kid from Elm Street falls victim to Freddy as one by one, kids die at the hand of himself or their nightmare. The series actually ran in to the movies with "Freddy's Dead" since there's only one kid left alive on Elm street at the beginning of the movie, the basic assumption is that due to the TV show, no other kids exist.

Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it, if you can find it somewhere available.
