All for today!

Rock N Rollercoaster

I've always wanted to make a great photo when the ride camera took the shot.

I think I achieved it right here.

The Great Movie Ride (2)

For some reason Megan totally forgot we went on this ride on our honeymoon, but came out saying the SAME EXACT THING she told me 5 years ago!

Hilarious.

Have a great day folks!

The Great Movie Ride - Disney's Hollywood Studios - Walt Disney World HD...

The Great Movie Ride (1)

While waiting in line for the ride, we came across Freddy Kruger's shirt from the 2nd Nightmare movie.

Pretty cool.

More to come today!

Survivor Preview

Well here we are again talking about the newest season of Survivor. Brains vs Beauty vs Brawn. The groups seem a little forced but I'm still interested in how it will turn out.

One thing I love is that this season there's NO returning players from previous seasons, which is refreshing because I was getting a little tired of that. Now we get to see which ones of the new cast will leave an impression for many years to come.

Jeff Probst also pitched a special "twist" this season that I'm interested in seeing as well.

It all starts this Wednesday folks so be ready!!

Caleb's B-Party (2)

The next day (for some unknown reason) they wanted to go to the Bass Pro Shop. The most boring store in the entire world.

K, little brother gets married at 5pm today so I'm going to get ready. C-ya!

Caleb's B-Party (1)

Little brother's getting married today, so I thought I'd share a few videos today from his bachelor's party from a few weeks ago.

First off, was this casino, that had an actual 1 million dollars, hanging in their hallway....the closet I'll ever come to seeing that much money, ever.

More to come!

Fun with puppets

Here I am with a puppet so life like, that I had people turn their heads to see if I really was holding a cub!

Have a good weekend folks!

Animal Kingdome parade (4)

K folks, that's all for today. C-ya tomorrow with more!

Animal Kingdome parade (3)

I wish they'd let you take pictures with some of these characters. Most of them can only be seen during a parade!

One more vid for you later this afternoon before we go!

Animal Kingdome parade (2)

At this point in the afternoon we were already hot and tired.
We decided afterward instead of heading straight to Hollywood Studios, we'd make a stop back at our hotel first.
It was nice, nit having the feeling of being rushed for time, this trip.
We were able to do a lot more with the time we had and therefore the trip was not as stressful as it usually is.
We knew what all we wanted to see and made sure there was plenty of time inbetween for rest.
Sure it got crazy a little here and there but for the most part it wasn't.
Ok, let's get some videos up next!

Animal Kingdome parade (1)

Ending the day at Animal Kingdome is there parade.
It's not much, but since we hadn't seen it before we thought we would this time around.
A lot of characters in "Jungle Theme" costumes was what you saw, though there were a few other "rare" appearances I caught on camera.
Megan had a great time and actually started smiling at this point.
They had tons of manually animated animals like this one, throughout the whole parade.
I'll post more pics and video today.

Let the fun continue!

Just to let you know, I was at least having fun on our trip to Animal Kingdome!
I have no idea what I'm wearing but I think it'd make a great profile pic don't you?!

Good vibes backfire!

In an attempt to make Grumpy Bear happy, I got her favorite snack at Disney, a Mickey Ice Cream stick!

But watch what happens when I try to film it! Ha ha hA ha ha ha ha!

If Ice Cream AND Disney World at the same time can't make you happy, I don't know what will!

Record sell out!

They sold out my Lucy Show in 3 DAYS! A new record for Murder is Served! They even opened up another weekend tonight and it sold out within an hour!

Bye Jove, I think we've got a show!

Puppet play

What can I say? Give me a puppet and I'll have some fun!

Dinosaur!

My favorite ride at Animal Kingdome... though not anymore.
Sadly, they've dumbed down the ride so it's not as scary as it used to be. I was very disappointed this time around since not a single dinosaur jumps out at you for a scare. I guess after too many complaints by parents with small children, this ride was altered for sissies.

What a shame.

But the next video I have coming up today will show you how I made lemonade out of this lemon of a ride!

March movie review

Getting close to another month, let's look at what movies we have to look forward too.

 300 Rise of an Empire
A sequel that arrived way too late from it's original and now I have no desire to see another one. It doesn't even look like they have that much of a story to tell other than "we want your movie money"

PASS.
 Muppets Most Wanted
The movie that came out a few years back wasn't that bad, but this one? Meh, I may check it out if I have the time. After all, it does look like they're keeping the original feel from the 80's movies so it may end up being worth seeing.

Noah
Wow, I've heard so much about what a disaster this film was to make but when I look at the finished product in the trailer I'm intrigued!

So bring it on Noah! I'm truly interested in how this flick will be.

What about you? Any comments on the movies for March or are you busy building an ark for yourself right now?

See ya!

Clone Wars Season 6

In March Netflix will be airing the lost seasons of Clone Wars. Though I don't have Netflix this really isn't that much of a reason to get it.

I may just wait till it's eventual DVD release and buy it then. However, it's nice to know they're not keeping it in the "Disney Vault" or some stupid excuse like that.

Happy Valentine's Day!

How convenient it would fall on a Friday right?

Have a good one folks!

Primeval Whirl

Another ride I totally missed the past two trips was this one. I'd never heard about it before until I was planning out my trip this year.

It reminded me of a carnival ride and was really fun, though "BMB" (bad mood bub) was taking off for the hills after the ride was over and wouldn't comment on my camera.

It's Tough to be a Bug

Ok, maybe you knew but I had no idea there was a show that took place INSIDE of the Tree of Life?! "It's Tough to be a Bug" is a show from the movie Bug's Life and is actually worth your time too!

A little scary at times for small kids I was pleased at all the "jumps" they gave you during the show. The best one being when the lights go out and the tell you they've released bees into the room. You hear them buzzing all around you and suddenly....POP! Your seat pokes you in the back to simulate a stinger and you jump right out of your seat!

I had a lot of fun in this show. It's one of the best things to do in Animal Kingdome too!

Star Wars Rebels update

And now cementing the worst news I've heard since Jar Jar Binks, Star Wars has announced that Freddie Prince Jr will voice a "cowboy Jedi" in the new series. Therefore finalizing my decision that I will begin my "line" here and not be crossing over to Star Wars products from here on out.
A cowboy Jedi. Really? If the future of the franchise is going to look like this with Freddie Princes (and possibly Zac Efron's) walking around, then I'm glad I'll be missing it.

Sheesh!

Star Wars Visionaries now canon?

At the moment I'm reading Darth Maul: Lockdown and it got me wondering about an old comic that came out years ago called "Visionaries" it was considered "non-canon" at the time due to it's first story about Darth Maul coming back from the dead for vengeance against Obi-Wan.

I loved the story but knew it wouldn't be possible because Lucas sad in several interviews that Maul was dead and nothing would change that.

Of course Georgy changed his mind when making the Clone Wars cartoon. But since we never found out the fate of Maul it's now feasible to say that the tale in Visionaries fits!

Anyway, just random thoughts in the Star Wars geek's mind.

Later!

Animal Kingdome pics

And finally today, here are some pics we took upon our arrival.
We went to Animal Kingdome that afternoon when we left Epcot. It didn't take us long and we got done with everything before it was time to leave. I guess we're getting to be pros at what we want to do and know how to plan these trips!

Much more to come tomorrow!

Good mood Guy!

Though someone wanted to be a toot-face that day, I made sure to keep the mood light the whole time we were there!

Bad mood Bub

How can someone be unhappy at Disney World?! Just ask Megan, who wasn't in the mood to be on camera that day at all! LOL

She's the only person I know who can receive a surprise trip to Disney World and STILL complain about it!

Animal Kingdome!

Our next stop that day was at the Animal Kingdome.

Probably our least favorite of the 4 parks but that still doesn't mean it's not worth the trip!

We actually had a good time while we were there. I'll post video and pics all throughout the day today.

Belgium taste test

How bout a change of venue for tomorrow?

Next up: The Animal Kingdome!

Belgium

When in Belgium what else would you get to eat besides their famous waffles?!
Although a little small, I'll tell you how it was later today!

Word is spreading

So Megan was looking thru a local magazine when she came across an ad for MY dinner theatre show!  Guess one of our private parties wasn't as private as we thought! AND LOOK! They're selling tickets getting rich off my show!?

Wild.

I don't think it matters that much to me, after all I do love the ad they took out. Looks sweet.

K, that's all for now!

Freddy's Nightmares (review)

One of Megan's Xmas presents from me this past year was the complete TV Series of Freddy's Nightmares.

The Nightmare on Elm Street TV show that ran from 1988-1990. I'd always heard about it as a kid and Megan's a big fan so it was fun for both of us to watch this series together.

Now that we're thru with them I have to say that it's not that bad a job! The series is similar to a "Tales from the Crypt" where Freddy introduces the next "victim" to have a nightmare. The pilot show is about how the town's people killed Freddy in the first place.

The stories are decent, creative and imaginative and they all have the same feel of the movies. Each episode a kid from Elm Street falls victim to Freddy as one by one, kids die at the hand of himself or their nightmare. The series actually ran in to the movies with "Freddy's Dead" since there's only one kid left alive on Elm street at the beginning of the movie, the basic assumption is that due to the TV show, no other kids exist.

Overall, I enjoyed it and recommend it, if you can find it somewhere available.

Japan taste test

And true to her word she went back for another one later that day!

Japan

Now we get to Megan's favorite of the day hands down, Japan.
She just had to try the Spicy hand roll since we don't get sushi in the USA.

Did you catch the sarcasm there?

I'll show you how it went later today.

Star Wars update

So Zak Efron heightened everyone's fears when he confirmed that he has spoken to casting agents for Episode 7 and I wouldn't put it passed Disney to hire him either. Can you imagine Star Wars fans pretending to be ok with this if they actually put him in the movie?!

I'd be interested to see.

Now back to my growing collection of the Expanded Universe. I just picked up all the old issues of Challenge Magazine which produced mini-games for the West End Games RPG's. It's up for debate whether they had the authority to do so and some of it's content is disputed as "canon" as is.

But I just finished reading them all and it all looks like it could easily be fit into canon with no problem at all. In fact, some of their adventure ideas were pretty good! I'm glad I got the entire set!
And now for the sad news. Author Christie Golden just confirmed that her new book featuring Jaina Solo titled "Sword of the Jedi" has been put on hold due to the Story Group

Which means Disney's Death Star is hovering around the planet EU and there's little hope for this Rebel Alliance to pull out a victory.

The sad thing is I know exactly what's going to happen. They're going to wait until Dark Horse finishes in 2014 before they denounce EVERYTHING. That's right. Think about it.

They can't say anything yet because you wouldn't buy the books coming out now. (comic or novels) It's a call from the Lucas playbook to lure the fans into spending a lot of money then screwing them over in the end.

As I've said before, I'm out if they do so. In fact, I'm perfectly happy with the collection I've got. If 2014 is it for me then so be it. I've almost got my collection completed, just have the Wizards of the Coast RPG's left to go and I'll be done. At that point it'll be all too easy to walk away.

But until then I'm going to hold out all hope that Disney cares about the hard core Star Wars fans and their loyalty toward the Expanded Universe.

Now all I need is a farm boy who can use the Force....

Hops and Barley taste test

Hops and Barley

Before we left "America" I decided to go ahead and try something to eat as well.
My first taste of New England Clam Chowder!

I'll show you how it went later!

Chase Break 2

Yes it was nice to sit in rest in a cool area with free wifi, chargers and drinks. You could even stay up there to watch the fireworks at night if you wanted. It was really nice!

Between Club Cool and this place we didn't have to purchase any drinks the entire time we were there!

Onward with the Food tasting tomorrow!

Chase Break 1

Being a Chase member even has it's advantages at Disney! During the Food and Wine Festival all Chase customers were invited to the exclusive 3rd floor of the American building for a free refreshment from their "drink" station.

I'll show you the rest, later today.

Poland taste test

Poland

Moving on to Poland I found one of my favorite dishes of the day!
Zapiekanki is basically, toasted mushrooms and onions on cheese bread. Which is good by itself but the big attraction for me was their home made ketchup they put on it. A little tangy with a bit of a kick, this ketchup was the star attraction for the dish. I was greatly impressed!

Taste test coming up next!

Africa

Continuing our trip around the World Showcase at Epcot, we stopped in Africa!
We had the Berbere Style Beef with Onions, Jalapenos, Tomato, Okra and Pap.

Food and Wine Continued...

Our Disney overview of the 2013 Food and Wine Festival continues this week! But for now, here's a pic Megan snapped while we were touring the area.

What a view eh?

Another set: Completed

After completing my Star Wars EU collection, I realized I was missing one final list.

The children's books.

I remembered this one book I saw back in 1999 but never got because I was a kids book. It was "The Queen's Amulet", a short story about the Queen losing her amulet shortly before the events of Episode 1.

So I went on Amazon and bought it for practically the cost of shipping. It came in the mail with 2 other Micro-machine kiddie books that were sold with their toys around the same time, thus completing my book list for good!

But I didn't stop there. My comic book collection was up next. Thanks to the trade paperback, "Wild Space" by Dark Horse Comics I was able to get most of the hard to find comics. All it left was the Hyperspace webstrips and Hasbro/ToysRUs mini comics of the Clone Wars.

Of which I was able to get them all.
But my prize possession this week was this The trade paperback of the Clone Wars web comics. It only covered the first half of the comics but I was able to acquire the rest.

However, THIS book has only 500 copies in existence and I'm the proud owner a one of them. My comic book collection is now complete.

The only thing left for me would be the Wizards of the Coast RPG books. I have the digital copies of them but will start collecting the physical books later on this year.

K, just wanted to give another nerdy update!

Baseball (review)

For a long time I've been wanting to see this documentary by Ken Burns about Baseball and now after finishing not only the original 9 disc series but even his NEW 2 part "10th Inning" one as well I'm ready to give my review.

If you like baseball...you'll love it. If you don't care for baseball much, you'll appreciate it still! It's that good!

Filled with interesting facts, each disc (represented as an "Inning") covers 10 years of baseball. From it's humble beginnings in the 1800's all the way to Barry Bonds hitting 73 homeruns and the steroids scandal that followed shortly after. (if you count the new 10th Inning installment of the series)

Ken Burns does amazing work and this is one of his finest! I learned so much more about the history of the game that I had to write this review and encourage others to check it out. It's well worth your time!
