Best treatments for Bells Palsey

Most of you didn't know this but I just recently got over Bell's Palsey this month. I came down with it shortly after 4th of the July and took a couple of weeks before getting back to normal.

And since the same thing might happen to you, I thought I'd spend a little time giving you some tips on what to do if you ever have it.

First off, don't panic. Sure nobody's sure how you get it and there's really not a sure fire cure for it. But you need to stay positive no matter how long it last. I must have had a light case of it because my face didn't sag but still, you could be stuck with it for 6 weeks to 6 months depending on the case.

Regardless of how long it takes, you should know they have a surgery for those folks who can't get over it. Talking to my doctor it works quite well. But let's not dwell on that shall we? Let's talk about what the best treatments are.

1) Sleep
2) B-12 (a lot of it)

My doctor gave me steroids and anti-viral medicine and to be honest it was a complete waste of my money. I read online somewhere that if you took B-12 it would help shorten your condition.

They weren't kidding.

After the first week I started getting my facial functions back and the week after that I was virtually cured!

So take it from me, sleep (don't panic) and LOT'S of B-12. I was taking 5000mcg a day. Trust me. Though it may take a little longer than mine to heal, it works. AND it'll save you $150 in worthless medicine.

That's interesting that you got that, I had it when I was a freshman in High School. My left eye wouldn't close all the way, and they game me this really thick stuff to put in overnight. Luckily mine came and went fairly quickly. Glad to hear you got over yours fast too.
