Alice in Wonderland Review

Megan and I saw the new Alice in Wonderland last night and though the story was interesting I got tired of seeing the excessive CG. This is something hollywood keeps falling into as a pitfall. Add too much CG and it just doesn't seem real anymore.

I remember when Jurassic Park came out. I was amazed at how real it looked. Since that time however movies either have just enough CG in to make it seem real or go way overboard in the process.

Alice in Wonderland is one of those examples.

The movie feels wrong. I liked the individual pieces but it never works as a whole. It's too much like Burton's other work and the 3D was awful.

Andrew (about 3D comment): That's one of the things we, as movie viewers, have to get used to...
Alice was NOT filmed in 3D. It was filmed in 2D and "changed" in post-production. A lot of movies have been doing that lately. Next up for the same process: "Clash Of The Titans!"
