After this picture was taken, Megan started telling me that she thinks THIS is now her favorite Disney Princess.

Sleep Tape
One of the creepiest inventions I've ever heard about. You put tape over your eye lids when you sleep so it looks like your awake at night.
I should buy these and not tell Megan one night. Ha ha ha ha! Oooooh....that'd be a bad idea.
But funny.

Epcot at night
Pretty nice don't you think?
Say, when did this blog turn into a "Disney" blog anyway?! Sorry about the constant barrage of pics and videos from our trip last year but it's been a hectic 2014 and I haven't had time to post anything else.
But don't worry, I'll get those creative juices flowing again soon and may even have a brand new "theme" for my blog. Who knows?!
Now that's I'm retired from drawing comics, it's "Sky's the limit" for what I can focus on next! I have a few ideas of where I'd like to go with it but haven't decided which way I want to proceed yet.
When I do though, you folks will be the first to know. Until then! Thanks for your patience and enjoy the rest of the trip!

Canada
Next we visited our neighbors to the north in Canada.
And tried some Cheddar Cheese soup.
Megan LOVES cheese but for some odd reason refused to try it. Weird.
Check out the video coming soon!

Greece
For a country with a broken economy you'd think they'd have better things to do than be at Disney's Food and Wine festival, but we tried them anyway!
The chicken gyro with tzatziki sauce had Megan more excited to try it than me!

Hawaii
Our next stop was one I was looking forward to that day, Hawaii!
Here we tried 2 menu items. The Tuna Poke, seaweed salad with lotus root chips and (for me) the Kalua pork slider with sweet and sour pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise.
A DOUBLE dose of videos coming at you shortly.

April movie review
There's only one movie coming out for April that I'm interested in seeing. The new Captain America movie looks good but also has a chance to revive the lame TV show "Agents of SHEILD" as well.
Supposedly, the story line from the show is going to cross over to the big screen in this film but it's unsure at what capacity. How things have gone so far with the show, any "hype" from the Marvel movies has turned out flat for it's TV counterpart. So I have to wonder if it'll be that big a deal at all when we finally get around to it.
Either way, I'm predicting this movie to be better than the first, which to me looked "forced" because they already knew they wanted to do an Avenger movie by then and just squirted the first movie out to establish a character.
K, that's all! Did I miss any other movies for this month?
The answer: No.

Air Supply?
Disney's Eat to the Beat concert was in full swing when we went back to Epcot that day and look who was performing?
I'm not a big fan but it was kinda wild to see them on stage while we were there.
I got a video I'll post in a minute.

Comic Con Bust
So I tried once again this year for tickets. With a "new" system in place I w's hopeful of a better experience though this was the one was the worst yet.
Instead of "first come, first serve" they decided to create a waiting room for folks to gather in for 2 hours, then "randomly" select folks to form a line. At first they said we'd be able to see or spot in line, but few minutes after that they changed their midst and said there would be no numbers given out.
Making me think some fishy is going on. This leaves a chance for corruption in the process wide open. Think about it, the person administrating it can move ANYONE up the list they want. We wouldn't be able to tell because we can't see if we; re next in line or one millionth!
It's a crooked way a doing things but I'm not going to lose sleep over it. DragonCon is the better convention and the one I'll always enjoy more!

Dragoncon 2014
I pleased to announce that once again we will be traveling to Dragon Con this year for 2014!
We got out tickets last month and are now assembling a group to go with us for the event.
My focus will be on getting autographed books from my favorites authors in attendance and taking a few writing workshops as well.
Should be a grand time regardless!

Aaron Allston R.I.P.
Last week after attending VisionCon in Missouri, Aaron Allston suffered from heart failure in the airport and passed away. This is extremely sad news to me because I was looking forward to speaking with him again at Dragoncon this year.
Author of some of the best X-wing Rouge Squadron books around, he was one of my top 3 authors. His clever wit and ingenious story telling will be missed and it will be a true shame when the Lucas Story Group dissolves all his books as pointless fan fiction. This man deserves better.
RIP sir!

Another Star Wars post
I forgot to mention. Want to know what Darth Maul's story arc was for season 6 of the Clone Wars? Well Dark horse is going to tell that story In a 4 issue series débuting this summer. I'd be surprised if they wrapped his story line and finished his arc. In a way I hope they don't.
Like I mentioned in an earlier post, "Star Wars Visionaries" (considered non-cannon at the moment) could easily do that itself since after all it was that story in Visionaries which inspired the resurgence of Darth Maul in the TV Series in the first place. Everything would fit seamlessly.
And in the "sad news" department, Hasbro has been told by Disney to "cease and desist" from making any further "expanded universe" figures. Solidifying further the assumption that they'll be throwing most of it in the garbage after this year.
Oh well. I got the final Star Wars EU book this week and now I only need to finished Dark Horse's run and I'll be done anyway. Sure gonna miss it when it's gone. But I'll have all I'll need of it once it's finished.

Clone Wars Season 6 review
SPOILERS ABOUND
Ok, so I just finished the final "Lost" season of the Clone Wars TV Series and am ready to give me final overall review.
The First story arc, episodes "The Unknown", "Conspiracy" "Fugitive" and "Orders" is about a clone's "biological malfunction" that makes him want to kill all Jedi. A pre-shadowing of Order 66.
And as all clone stories go, I found this a refreshing way to begin the season.
The 2nd story arc "An Old Friend" "The Rise of Clovis" and "Crisis of the Heart" was a Padme/Anakin story line that fell flat, just like the season usually does in the middle.
The 3rd arc focus on Jar Jar and Mace Windu "The Disappeared, Part's 1 and 2" and they held the same flatness as well. Just because this is the final season of clone wars doesn't mean I'm going to get all sentimental and say how good each episode is. I think they were hoping a lot of folks would but I just didn't see anything new for those 2 story arcs.
True I can't be too hard on them. They only had half of it finished. Then again, if this is all they had to offer than I'm glad they canceled this series before it became any worse. ]
The last 4 episodes is what has everyone raving, so let's focus on those for a bit.
"The Lost One" was an episode that explained the death of Jedi Master Syfo Dyas and it was HORRIBLE!
Not only do Anakin and Obi Wan face Count Dooku AGAIN in a lightsaber battle (further watering down the meaningless phrase in Episode 3 of "This time Anakin, let's do it together.") but the Jedi even discover Dooku is responsible for creating the Clone Army.... and they decide to do NOTHING about it?!?
It makes no sense. You could say it was nearing the end of the war and they were still needing time to think, but even that argument doesn't pop up since Finis Valorum makes an appearance in the Episode. Since he dies fairly early into the Clone Wars (Star Wars: Republic #61) than this means the war has barely even started!
Pablo Hildgado explains the TV Series as throwing a "major" wrench into the CLone Wars story line, since to have all the stories from that time period must mean the TV show (all 6 seasons) took place in the matter of a few months!
So now we know that the Jedi KNEW about Dooku's involvement in the creation of the Clone Army but sat on that information for most of the war.
Shocking and poorly thought out on the writers parts.
However, the next few episodes weren't so bad.
"Voices" stars Liam Neeson as the voice of Qui-gon Jinn in a episode that had the most intriguing story plot (not to mention amazing soundtrack) I've ever seen in any Clone Wars episode.
Excellent.
The final 2 episodes "Destiny" and "Sacrifice" were ok, but mostly pointless since it's never clear as to what Yoda needed from these mystical Force beings who ran him thru a series of test that included hanging out on an old Sith home world. Not that they were bad episodes, just meaningless.
Overall, the series was ok and of course I'll buy it if it ever comes out on DVD. But there's my 2 cents anyway.
