The Legend Lives On!!!!

Ok, this is bad. But I just had to make a post today to talk about what I've been doing lately.

SAVING HYRULE that's what!!

I LOVE this game. I've forgotten how fun the original version is. And since you can go online anywhere and download it I've been playing it all week long. (just beat it this morning) but for anyone wanted to do the same, here's a complete map of the first quest and all the secret doors revealed.

Ok, I'm out.

Disney Princess pics 2

Here we are with Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and the Little Meremaid. But (as Megan was horrified to discover) Sleeping Beauty and Little Meremaid are the same person! That's right folks! Look at them carefully and you'll see the Disney magic fall away from this whole experience.
It was kinda funny because Megan was bummed about it being the same girl. I thought it was funny. Anyway, c-ya next week folks!!

Great Football Movies

I've been thinking about it all weekend long. With the Super Bowl right around the corner, what were the best football films of all time? Only these two stand out. Both were based on true stories and perhaps that's the reason I love them so much.
I'm sure there are a few more "note worthy" ones ya'll could think of (please don't say "Remember the Titans") but I believe this is the cream of the crop!

Disney Princess pics

Here we are meeting our Disney Princess'. I didn't want to get into these pics but Megan wanted me too. Pic #1 and #2 are of course with Snow White. Dopey came out later for pics but the the line was already way too long to go back and wait.
Pic #3 is our picture with the Jasmine that Megan DID NOT like and Pic #4 is with the one she did like. (and she loved Aladdin too..... too much..... ggrrrrrr...)
Pic #5 is with Mulan but Megan is insistant that she IS NOT a Disney Princess. She didn't even want to take her picture with her at first! (and for Megan that's saying something!)
Ok folks, that's all for now. See you next week!

Welcome to Movie Mondays!

Ok, let's try something new this week. Every Monday I'm going to review a few of my favorite movies of all time. This week we'll start with baseball. As many of you know, that's my favorite sport. And I love just about any baseball movie I see. But let me pick out the Top 5 that stick out in my mind. (in no order)

What a great movie. And what kid wouldn't enjoy this! It's how I played baseball for years.... in my own backyard. We were all superstars in our own minds but what memories we had! This movie captures them perfectly and also has legendary actor (and baseball fan himself), James Earl Jones in the movie as well!

I was shocked at how good this movie was. And since it's based off of a true (and quite amazing) story it makes it even better!

I love this movie. Seriously. It's good. Who's heart strings don't pull for the "over the hill" player trying to get one last taste of glory. And how epic is that final scene in the movie?! (I won't spoil it if you haven't seen it) But it's a MUST SEE for everyone!

Another shocker. 61. Telling the story of Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris when they went after the Babe's record of 60 homeruns in a season. This was also based on a true story and director (and huge baseball fan as well) Billy Crystal re-tells with such detail it truly is one amazing flick.

Last and not least, everyone knows about this one. Feild of Dreams. But why is it loved by both fans and non-fans of the game? I think it's the mysterious story combined with GREAT music and actors that gives this movie the warm feeling we get when watching it. No doubt about it though. It's a classic!
We'll do more next week!

PIC#1 Here we are with Pooh and the Gang. (Megan's favorite as a kid)
PIC#2 Taking a picture with characters rarely seen in the park is always exciting. The evil step sisters from Cinderella were just that! Instead of making children smile they would whine, shout and mope the whole way through!
After taking a picture with them Megan turned to me and said "I want to be one of the step-sisters because they get to be mean to the kids!"

Hmmmm.... I know who's going to make a great mother someday....: )
PIC#3 and #4 Funny story here. These characters were right across the pathway from each other and when the sound of thunder hit, it was Peter Pan who took of running like a cod fish leaving Wendy all alone. (pretty funny to watch) I remember turning to Hook and pointing at Peter and all Hook did was shrug his shoulders and shake his head. VERY funny!
Also, Megan and I had a debate on whether Peter is played by a boy or a girl here. I say boy... very feminine boy (hint, hint) , she says girl. Look at the picture closely then you decide.
PS- Wendy totally had the hots for me. Look how she's hanging on to me horse flies on cow dung!
PIC#5 Another rare character to catch in Disney World (I hear) is the Fairy Godmother. Coming out only once a week (A quarter till mid-night) in the Magic Kingdome. Very cool to have a pic with here too.
Ok folks, that's it for now. C-ya next week!

PIC#1 Wouldn't you know after taking this picture Gepeto would come out RIGHT after we went! We thought about getting back in line but it was way too long and we decided it just wouldn't be worth our time to pose with an old man.
PIC#2 Buzz Lightyear to the rescue! I think we were amoung the first to get our picture with him so we didn't wait in line long at all for that one.
PIC#3 Here we are with BOTH Lilo and Stich this time. Now our collection's complete.
PIC#4 and #5 Megan swears this guy looks just like Johnny Deep. I'm not so sure. The one thing I DO remember of him is that he waved at Megan to come take a picture with him and she grinned (big time) right back at him!! Why that dirty low-down pirate was after me first mate!! Grrrr.... walk the plank ye scurvy scum!!
Tomorrow kicks off one of my finest comic strips yet! I hope you'll like it as much as I do. Guess we'll find out this week huh? C-ya!

Megan says if I work at Disney World as a character I would be Bert. Hmmm.... Also, looking at this last picture I realize I haven't seen Lilo or Stitch either. Hmmm... forgot about that one.
Ok folks, that's all for this week. C-ya later!

As you now all know, I've stopped the weekend post for now. We're back to our old posting schedule once again!
Just thought I'd post a few more pics from our trip since we only took a million of them. By thw way, here's a list of Disney movies I have NEVER seen:
Lion King
Hercules
Hunchback of Notre Dame
I did see Mulan on video a long time ago but I really stopped watching after Aladdin. Not sure why just got tired of it I guess. Did I miss out on anything?
