What I'm watching

Happy Black Friday everyone. I hope you're staying safe indoors today and not out there tackling the crazed retail world.

Today I thought it'd be nice to talk about some of the shows I've been watching on TV this season. Here we go....

Sunday nights on Showtime.

Honestly one of the best shows I've been watching in the past few years. The story is about Dexter, a guy who works as a blood splatter analyst for the Miami Police Dept. But what you don't know is.... he's also a serial killer, who kills.... serial killers!

The show's in it's fourth season and it gets better every season! One of my favs for sure!
Monday nights on NBC.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. What was once an excellent show has since slowed down to almost a dead halt this season. If it wasn't for the rumor that NBC won't be keeping this show after next season, I'd be very tempted to give up on them.

This year's been slow moving and sort of pointless. (how many times can you save the world from impending doom?) But I'll weather the storm this year in honor of all the truly good story lines it's had in the past.
Thursday nights on CBS.

Of course this is my all-time favorite show to watch. You all know that. But this season has been incredible! I man named Russel has found the immunity idol TWICE without clues and once more with everyone following him around the whole time!! Amazing!!!

I'm hooked this season and will be tuned in to the very end to see who comes out on top this season. Really, this is a show worth investing your time in for next season..... trust me.
Friday nights on Cartoon Network.

The first season had it's slow moments. This second season? UNBELIEVABLE!!! I can't believe how great this show's been so far. I've been intensely tuned in every night to this show. Yes, I'm a Star Wars fan and yes, it's a given I'd love it. But to their credit the show's really starting to pick up this season and pique my curiosity for the weeks following.

Well what do you think? Agree with me? Watch other shows you think are better? Let me hear it! I'm all ears!!

But if anyone comments about how Smallville is good and I should start back watching it, I'll delete your post.

Dude, you watch Heroes still, but gave up on Smallville? Are you freaking kidding me? We gave up on Heroes mid way through season 3, and have been ecstatic ever since. Horrific since season 1, really. Smallville, I would agree, is not great. But I'm still hooked. Maybe it's Erika Durance...(oh, I hope my wife doesn't read this). Seriously though, there is a LOT to like about it, especially with how close they are trying to stick to the actual comic books. Legion, Justice League, etc. But yeah, a lot of it isn't done with the same skill they had in the past, I can't argue. And Survivor? KILLER! We HATED Russell at first, but that dude is something else! Gotta respect the skill!!

Some shows you're missing out on:

Chuck - starts back in January and is my favorite show on TV. If you don't watch this, you are an idiot.

Entourage - I can't even tell you how good this show is.

Curb Your Enthusiasm - Seinfeld reunion was absolute TV Gold.

The Office and 30 Rock - The latter is probably the funniest show on TV.

And of course, once January comes around, you'll be back watching 24 and Lost, right.......?

I'm in the same boat with on Heros. I'm still watching it because.... well, I'm not sure. It sure isn't moving. If I were a writer with the knowledge that they may drop the show I would be pulling out some pretty hi intensity stuff.

I've heard of Dexter but haven't seen it yet. Sounds pretty good.

If you like Sci-fi you might want to take a look at Stargate Universe. They're doing it like battlestar galactica. I think there should be a new name for these types of shows. Something like soap-fi's or sci-dramas. Yes, very original, I know.

I do like The Office and Chuck. But then I've always like a bit of cheese in my shows.

Favorite show would have to be Eureka. Sci-fi with cool tech and lots of laughs with good story lines.
