Twins pics

VERY delayed but here's a few pics from the past week of my new set of twins!
Classic "sleeping" pose
Daddy's favorite pic
They love holding them
Classic "feeding" pic
My boy's scrawny legs.

Clowns of the CDC

Now it's come out (to no one's surprise) that the CDC has been withholding data from the public that counters their narritive.

Seriously, we should start treating the CDC as a opinionated group of clowns.

Game I got rid of (34)

This was a tough one to give away. I really loved this game. It was the opposite of pandemic where you were trying to spread the gospel into every area before the end of the game. I have a lot of good memories playing it too. But like I said Co-op's are not my gaming group's thing, so when the decision came to make some cuts, this one went up on the chopping block.

Regrets: Yes. I hear it has an expansion already and I sort of wished I'd have kept it around. It's true I don't get Co-op's to the table but as I look over my collection, there's a few games I'd trade for to get it back.

Game I got rid of (33)

Neat economy game that was hardly getting played and was traded off pretty early during the building of my collection.

Regrets: A few. I think about this game from time to time and when I do, I think it would've eventually overstayed it's welcome. Cool theme and fun for what it was worth, but ultimately I don't regret trading it away.

Game I got rid of (32)

Great Monster game but it did lag a little in the middle before getting to the end, so when the opportunity came to trade it, I decided to pull the trigger and release it from my collection.

Regrets:  A little but not that much. Though a great theme it didn't come out that much and I didn't hesitate whenever I traded it for another game instead.

Game I got rid of (31)

Great theme but the game play ultimately wasn't there, so I gave it away. Plus, it was a rather bland looking game in design.

Regrets: None. I remember my last time playing this and saying to myself "Yep, this has to go."

Games I got rid of (30)

Super fun game. Wait, let me re-phrase that.

Super fun 2 player game.

It hurt to let this one go but I did for that reason. Not many 2 player games in my collection. Come to think of it.... I think Queen's Gambit and Total Action Football may be it!

Regrets: Yeah, but since it was 2 players it's not for me.

Games I got rid of (29)

The gameplay was unique. Spin the HUGE die and roll like crazy to get away from the mummy. The only problem was...you hardly ever did!

The mummy constantly bumped people back to the beginning thereby forcing the game to game way longer than it should. I gave it to Norm from the Board Game Museum who enjoys it, so I'm glad.

Regrets: Nope! More space on the shelves for more games!!

Near Dark (review)

Remember that movie at Blockbuster you always walked past and thought looked like a B rated horror movie?

Did you know it was about vampires?! I had no idea.

And Bill Paxton to boot!

This forgotten movie came out the exact year as Lost Boys and lost out in popularity due to its slow pace and complete lack of humor. But if you're in the mood to watch an older film with some EXCELLENT Paxton moments, it's worth your time for that alone.

But the last 4 minutes you can skip since the ending is very anti-cimatic.

Games I got rid of (28)

This one was in the cards for a while to leave. First off, I hate how the publisher lied to its backers on Kickstarter and 2nd...the game wasn't that good in the end.

Regrets: None absolutely. The artwork was pretty terrible too.

Games I got rid of (27)

Just like the previous game I mentioned yesterday, but this one was even better because it mentioned 80's movies and shows I all knew!

The reason it got removed was that it had one HUGE flaw that my nephew found out that would end the game in 5 minutes and I had no way to get around it. I tried for years but pretty soon it was evident to everyone.

The key to win? Outbid or overbid on any show you can and eventually someone will hit their first rating war where you get the automatic "W" for being the only one who bought a show.

Sucks but it had to go.

Regrets: That the flaw in the game never existed in the first place. Crushed I'll never play it again.

Games I got rid of (26)

Fun vintage game but eventually got replaced with a newer version. These were all shows from the 70's too so I only understood a few of the puns. My buddy (who is older than me) knew a lot more of them than I did.

Regrets: Not really. Kinda played like Monopoly now when I think about it.

Games I got rid of (25)

Nice game but when I got Black Fleet it replaced this one in a heartbeat. Gave it away to a buddy of mine.

Regrets: Once I dumped it, I never looked back.

Valentine's Day

Here's to my least favorite holiday of them all! Hope everyone has a good one!

Bye bye mask mandates?

Now that the mid-term elections are coming up and Democrats are suddenly finding themselves of the wrong side of the pandemic, there's a last ditch effort to get in the good graces of the voters by walking back everything they've said over the past 2 years.

Will it be enough in this day and age?

Who knows.

But don't you love seeing the blatant hypocrisy of it all?

Shut In (Review)

I watched the Daily Wire's NEW movie and....it sucks. Couldn't even finish it. Made it a little over halfway through and realized, this was done off a  $10,000 budget.

One actress. Then a bunch of cameos, they probably paid for one day's shoot to save money. The story DRAGS and you immediately stop caring in the first 45 minutes.

They should never have made this movie. It'll tarnish their image. So sad because "Run Hide Fight" was brilliant. I'm going to be cautious before giving them another chance.

This one is a PASS.

Insane weather

This week it was 35 in the morning when I dropped off the girls...and 73 when I picked them up. 2 days in a row.

How is this even possible? Where are we living? The Twilight Zone?! Who has weather like this??

Unmotivated

I have a friend who doesn't have a job, lives off the welfare of others but thinks they're "destined" for great things.

They have no motivation to go out and look for a real job. They want an upper level position but have ZERO qualifications for it. They're always looking for ways to make easy money, or get-rich-quick schemes without putting in any effort in return.

They make a big deal out of what very little they accomplish yet when it boils down to it, it was meaningless.

Wrapped up in an imaginary "greatness" of themselves, they fail to realize everyone sees them for who they really are.

Bums.

The ultimate coward

I love the keyboard warrior. Someone who makes "cryptic" post about others on their social media, and say things they would NEVER say to their face because they're cowards.

But as long as they don't name names they think they'll get away with making horrible comments.

It's why I'm not on social media in the first place. Pathetic people like them are all over the internet.

Games I got rid of (24)

Massive game that looked great on the table. Strategic too. But 2 player, so you know what had to happen eventually.

I ended up giving it to a buddy of mine who loves battle games such as this. Hopefully it still gets played to this day.

Regrets: Like all 2 player games, it'd still be in my collection today if I had a 2nd player to play with. But since that's not the case....no.

Games I got rid of (23)

Another classic game from my childhood that no one would play with me today so I had to dump it.

Regrets: Not really. I think over time (because it was a card game) It would've run its course over the years and eventually leave my collection in the long run.

Games I got rid of (22)

Classic game my family used to play together all the time. When I picked up a copy I was sure they'd play it....they didn't. So it had to go.

Regrets: None. The past is over. My family won't play any games from it I suppose.

Games I got rid of (21)

Really good game but card driven which is not my style. My nephews couldn't get enough of it however so I eventually gave it to them.

Regrets: None. It's gets enough play through them which I'm glad for.

Games I got rid of (20)

Fun game the imitated a video game. But just like the game I spoke about yesterday it took 4 hours to play and I have no idea why that was so it had to go.

Regrets: If the gameplay could somehow be sped up I'd have kept it.

Little Debbie Ice Cream

These were the 3 we tried tonight. I was surprised to discover they all taste exactly like the Little Debbie they're named after.

Pretty amazing. I don't know how they did it but its genius.

Pulling back the curtain

Studies are finding out that the lockdowns did NOTHING to stop the virus, that masks aren't making a difference, hospital are grossly mis-reporting COVID numbers AND that natural immunity offers better protection than the vaccine.

I love how the curtain of lies is being slowly pulled back for the whole world to see.

Games I got rid of (19)

I LOVE this game but every time I played it with my gaming group it took 4 hours!!! I have no idea why but the simplest decisions led to so much AP that I had no choice but to give it away to a buddy of mine who has a much more intelligent board game group.

Regrets: I only wish my gaming group could've understood the 2 different actions you had every turn in the game. It wasn't rocket science.

Games I got rid of (18)

I have Snow Tails 1 and play it all the time. Though this is a beautiful production of the game, it's plain board leaves little to no variety in setting up the track. After years of not playing it, I decided to finally trade it away.

Regrets: None. If the pieces were compatible with the base game I'd have kept it but that wasn't the case.

Games I got rid of (17)

This was a fun game but once I got Mall Madness, I knew this one eventually had to go. And it did go to a good friend who I hope is having fun with it.

Regrets: Now that I am Mall Madness? None.

Games I got rid of (16)

Fun racing game but it got replaced quickly in my collection so I had to trade it away.

Regrets: None. Again, fun game but there are much better racing games out there to enjoy.
