That's true, however, The first chihuahua used was named Dinky and was a male before being replaced by Gidget, the female. There was another chihuahua used for a stand-in sometimes in the commercials named Taco. Who was also a male. Carlos Alazraqui did the voice overs for the dogs.
Chalk another celebrity death up. Last week the Taco Bell Chiwahwah passed away at the tender old age of 15.
