Shogun Gobot

So I'm watching this show called Toy Hunter and I see a toy on there I recognize. It's a Showgun Gobot! Right before Transformers hit they made these robots who could transform into guns. SO COOL! I remember loving them!

Ok, that's all. Just a wave a nostalgia hit me and I had to post!

The Science of Murder

I just saw a preview of Murder is Served's newest show "The Science of Murder" and I have to say, they've delivered another winner!

Toby Otero's script is well written and adds even more credit to Murder is Served's resume. The characters were well defined and each was given the right amount of time to make them memorable.

John Reynold's stars as Mingus the Magnificent who has invited you to his home/laboratory to witness his newest invention.

Idiot, played by Mark Addison is the lovable hunchbacked henchman who adds several dimensions of humor to the show.

John Step and Dana Otero play the couple who've volunteered for Mingus's mad plot and Step is a hoot in his character!

Shonda Butts and Cassie Bennett are excellent as Mingus' maid and the maid's sister. Both were highly enjoyable though out the show.

Rounding off the cast are the two electricians Kenny Harris and Alex Mathurne. Overall I think this will be one of the best shows they've had yet. My hats off to everyone involved. What a great performance!

NEW Star Wars book coming!

As you know I'm a huge Star Wars fan and especially when it comes to the books. I'm wrapping up the Fate of the Jedi series now and I read about a new book coming out next year. I can't wait to see where they go with it.

Luke and Leia's kids are all grown up, Han's pushing into his mid 70's and I'm also hoping they decide to kill some of the main characters in this one but I doubt it. Looking at forums everyone's with me on that too.

It's not because I don't like the big 3 (Luke, Leia and Han) it's just that everyone in the books is getting unbelievably old and it's hard to stretch the realm of reality that grandpa's and grandma's are running around saving the galaxy from utter destruction.

Lucas I'm pretty sure doesn't want to see the end of his beloved characters but for stories sake I think they should. They're moving to connecting the books to the Legacy comic book series from Dark Horse that takes place 100 years after Star Wars. (right now the series is 45 years past the movies)

I find myself in difference of opinion from the rest of the Star War fans by actually thinking this series has been pretty good. I chilled by the utter "campyness" other SW fans. The books they love are the ones I consider to be THE WORST and vice versa. It really hurts to think the fanbase can sway the books but in this case I'm comforted by the fact Lucas couldn't care less about what his fans want and will do what he wants with the story regardless on how others feel.

Anyway, sorry to nerd out on you this morning but I just had to get that off my chest.

Have a great day folks!

Olympics 2012

This year I can happily say I never saw hardly ANY of the 2012 Olympics atr all. I'm sorry but I can't get excited on things like water polo and gymnastics. Let's be honest, you wouldn't watch diving or swimming either if it was, say...the US championships would you? Nah, I thought not.

In the past I used to enjoy it a lot but now I just don't see what the hype is all about. I just know based on random news events I've read about that I don't like Lulu Jones. She sounds like a crybaby to me.Some other US won Gold instead of her and all she wants to talk about is the "unfair" negative press she's received?!  Give me a break!

PS- I don't plan on watching "Shark Week" on Discovery Channel either!

#1 most hated city

Move over Atlanta, Dallas is now my #1 most despised city to drive in! I can't see how it can be any worse than this town. The construction's bad and roads make it near impossible to navigate around. The city is a complete mess and an utter nightmare to drive in.

Don't get me wrong, my vacation wasn't all that bad. I got to meet Reuben Sierra, almost catch a homerun from Albert Pujoles and even got to see an amazing comeback from the Rangers in the bottom of the 10th. Overall, it was pretty good.

Now it's time to get back to work. Hope everyone has a great week!

App of the week

Action Movie FX enables you to have an extremely fun time with your kids in making great "special effect" home movies. I downloaded this a couple of months ago and last month got to shoot some footage with my nephews. They LOVED it! Here's a few of the videos for your entertainment.

Have a good weekend folks!
