First off I’d like to thank the hundreds of messages I received from everyone this week. I thank you for your prayers and wanted to let everyone know that we are all doing well. If anything, pray for my grandmother. She rejoiced more than anyone else there and I was very inspired by her to say the least. She means the world to me and I love her dearly!

Now, time to move on.

A few things before I start posting strips again tomorrow. (yes that means a Saturday post)

First off. I just want everyone to know that I did not watch ONE game of the playoffs or the World Series this year. Therefore keeping my word once the Mets were out that I would not watch another baseball game for the rest of the year. When was the last time I never saw a playoff or World Series game? 1994… during the strike.

Also, I’d like to thank everyone in Texarkana for letting me once again host their annual costume contest at this years Fall Fest. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture of it as I did last time but I assure you it was quite fun.

By the way, the comic strips for the next few weeks will focus on actual things that have happened to me while giving interviews for the company. I had several of you “rotfl” (as they say) in my e-mails explaining some of these characters to you already. A lot of you have been asking for this strip for about 2 months now so I’m finally going to give it to you. I’m know you’ll enjoy it.

Finally, I’d like everyone to take a moment to celebrate today… Cardco Day. Yes sir-ree! It was on this very day back in 1993 that Cardco (my favorite comic book shop) shut it’s door for the very last time. Thus inspiring my comic book series to start.

How tragic was this loss?! Well, Baseball went on strike. That good enough for ya? If anyone would like to join me tonight I’ll be holding a candle light vigil to my comix namesake. Everyone is welcome. : )

After that, it’s All Saints Day, followed by All Souls Day, so party on this Nov. 1st and 2nd!

Hey folks.

Sorry for the delay but as a lot of you have already heard my grandfather passed away last night and went to be with our Lord and Saviour. I'll be attending the funeral tomorrow. There will be no post tomorrow.

Thank you.

FFF Final Finish

Ever hear of the horse called “Man o’ War”?

He was the most dominant race horse in history. Back in the early 1900’s he won an incredible 20 out of 21 races. He set 3 world records, 2 American records and 3 track records. But you know what the name of horse was that beat him?

Upset.

Back in the day it just meant “to be sad”. But when Upset won that day it started meaning something else….

Pulling an “upset”

Which would be referring to the horse, but soon became commonly known to mean whenever an underdog beat a massive fan favorite.

And that’s this week’s FFF!

No jingle this season

Howdy folks!

How’d the week go for everyone hmmm? Well, let me set the rumors to rest and inform you that I AM NOT going to be in the X-mas play at the theater this year. Yes, yes, I did audition, but only because I was asked to!

However, due to the fact that I cannot read music they will not be picking me up for the part. (that saved me 6 e-mail replies right there)

So, everyone get ready for a new week cause here it comes!!

FFF of the the week

Here’s a good one for ya folks!

Thinking that it spread disease, King Henry VI banned kissing in England in 1439

Ack?! Can you imagine that? A rule against smoochin?! Maybe he just bought into the belief that cooties was a deadly diesease?

Another busy week almost over folks. Anyone have big plans this weekend? Any of them involve he words “War Eagle” in them?

Ok, I’m out!

Celtic Fest 3

Ok. So the reason I'm wearing a Superman t-shirt in the videos is to signify the "World's Finest" in comic books. (notice CJ in the Batman T?!)

For those of you who do not read comic books, that's what Batman and Superman were called when they ues to team up together.

But I do hate Superman.

By the way... that's the same shirt I wore for the "superman in classroom" video you know?

Video time again?

Guess what folks? I have more video footage coming out to you this week! See the World's Finest (CJ and I) were out on the town once again last week visiting the annual Celtic Fest here in Monroe.

Though not as good as our Harry Potter Nomincon, I've been recieving multiple request to show what footage we have. So I'll be doing just that through out the week!

Have another great week everyone!

FFF for October

I can't believe we're already moving thru the month of October! Where does the time fly?! Well, I did a little study about the specials things and events that took place in October so here's what I came up with!

Oct 17, 1775 The US Navy was established
Henry Ford introduced the first Model T in Oct 1903
Dick Tracy's first comic strip was printed in 1931
Orson Wells scared them all in his first broadcast on "War of the Worlds" way back in 1938
Also in 1947 President Harry S Truman gave the first televised White House address in history
The Twilight Zone premiered in 1959 and the Mickey Mouse club started on Oct of 1955 and Saturday Night Live in 1975!

Have fun this weekend folks. I know I sure am!

The jig is up

Ok, I'll spill the secret. I have a web site.

The only reason I've kept it secret for so long is because I wanted to work on it before launching it off to everyone else. Sadly it looks as though I'll never have the time to do that. So I've posted my 3 Footloose videos on it for the meantime if you'd all like to see them. Keep in mind I had a cold that night and so it really wasn't my best performance. I wish someone had filmed the 2 shows before it because I felt like those two were the best. Anyway....

www.cardco.info

The site looks like someone's high school project and will not be updated anytime soon. But at least you get to see the videos now right?

500

Well, I was going to post the cover up but I didn't have time to get it ready so I'll just tell you about the news.

I've just completed my 500th comic book! I can't believe I've made so many of these things, it's really amazing how long it's been going on.

I even thought of a good way to celebrate this occasion but you'll have to give me a few more days before I unveil it. And even then it won't be ready but who cares, it's going to be cool!!

Well, I'm sorry this has been a dud week for the blog. I really think this is the most boring this blog has ever been. I promise I won't let something like this happen again! No more videos for this blog, that's for sure!

Hanging up on Footloose

Well folks, I looked at every way around it and there’s no way these videos are going to make it to the internet I’m afraid. Sorry.

But when I started thinking about it, no one’s really posted much about our play anyway, so it’s kind of fitting on how this all worked out.

I still hate you E Blogger, if you’re reading.

But this whole time’s helped me reflect on what an awesome show it was. I went out this weekend and got asked several times while waiting in line at the “haunted house” in town “Hey! You’re Willard!” Kinda flattering to have celebrity stardom. (even if it’s just around your local pond!)

Big news tomorrow, plus another FFF. I have next weeks comic strip ready and it’s going to be a good one. So stay tuned!

Bad News

YouYube is telling me the 5 minute clips are too much to post even though I've seen some video posts lasting over 7 minutes but I guess that's not the point.

So unfortunantly there will not be any Footloose posts on this site.

I'll try to come up with some other fun ideas to last us through the week before posting comic strips again.

Thank you Mets

Thank you Mets.

Thanks for putting an early end to my baseball season.

Thank you for not being able to beat the Phillies ONCE this season.

Thank you for getting swept by the Nationals…. twice.

Thank you Tommy Glavine, for giving up 5 runs to the fish during the 1st inning in our most important game of the season.

Thank you Mets, for losing 11 out of your last 15 games.

Thank you for being the first team in history EVER to have such a huge lead at the end of the season and blow it at the end.

Thank you.

(Footloose videos start tomorrow)
