Look at this!

So a good friend of mine from the great land of AZ drew this the day after reading last week's comic strip. I don't know folks, which version do you think is better? Ha ha, I think I've found my replacement... now only if I can get him to draw like me....

Now on to other news. Yes, you will be seeing a new comic strip out this week along with a picture at the end of the week. I'm so glad you all enjoyed last weeks video. I have gotten several request from everyone on what to "sing" next. "Barbie Girl" has been my favorite suggestion yet.

Alright! That's all for now! Move along, move along!

A little sumpin, sumpin!

So I was going thru some old videos I had on my camcorder and I noticed I wasn't the only one using it. (thanks roomie for all that bonus footage) Now I had some footage from my trip to Mexico, but a lot of it is... well "Too hot for TV" material. I don't remember being in boxers the whole trip there but it seems like we all felt free around the camera that week.

That's when I found it. Very few of you even remember when this took place but I was filming a video that was going to show you some skits I had made up or was re-filming for the camera. Well, I found that tape and have a pretty good one to show you today.

No drugs or alchohol was used during this skit. Jordan and I was just bored one night and this is what came out of it. This was shot over a year ago too. I hope it's worthy of your veiwing pleasure.

What a weekend!

I just got back from Texarkana's Fall Fest 06 and would like to thank everyone over there once again for showing us all a great time! I have one picture from it that I'll be posting as soon as it's e-mailed to me.

Other than that, I hope you had a good weekend. Either by seeing your baseball team pull off an upset in Game 1 of the World Series, to just having some kid at the grocery store wanting your number. I hope it all went well.

Got another great comic strip for you this week. I'm sure you'll enjoy. So until then...

Edge of Madness (6)

Sorry folks, I couldn't think of a way I wanted to end this and when the thought of my old charater "Count Floyd" popped into my head, I couldn't resist it. (at least you'll love it Emily) Anyway, I'm off to work... and it's cold. Ick.

Edge of Madness (4)

Was it just me or was everyone else bummed about the rain out for the Mets/Cardinals game last night? Hmph.... I guess it was just me then.

Same old, plain old

Good Monday Morning to you folks! I hope your weekends were as good as mine. I attended a wedding (of which I wasn't in) went to see The Grudge 2 (which gave me da heebidy-jeebies) then sat and watched Auburn beat Florida in football and the Mets beat the Cards hard last night. So this is shaping up to be a good week ahead!

Oh, and I'm watching all 7 seasons of Star Trek Voyager at the moment. No, I'm not really a trekkie but I've been told by several people that it's worth my time and since I never gave it a shot when it came out I've decided to give it one now. I'm on season 2 right now and... mmmm... so-so. Not bad.

I see last week's comic strip prompted a few of you to go to the Edge of Madness this weekend. I hope you all had fun. I'm sorry I couldn't join you. Maybe next time. Ok then, Hi-ho, hi-ho it's off to work I.... eh, you get it.

TIVO my dear Watson!

I love DVR's. You should too. I never have to watch the shows when they come on anymore. I can just tape them and watch them whenever I have the time. I've taped so many movies right now that I really don't have time to watch it all. I have shows that aired 2 weeks ago, that are still waiting to be watched. So what do I do in the meantime? Draw comic books. (and strips)

As you all know today is Friday the 13th. (ooh...spooky) And I have a big day planned ahead of me. First, it's off to work. (where I will have to fire a few employee's) Not fun, but we covered all that last week. Then it's back to the house to exercise and then watch a movie. "The Grudge" will be playing at the IMATT tomorrow right before I go off to see "The Grudge 2" in theaters. Then later I return to the Edge of Madness where one of the biggest scare-dy-cats (sp?) I've ever seen is going with me. How bad is he? Let's just say crickets make him jump.

Anyway, after all this mayhem it's off to someone's house to spend the night. Because after seeing the "Grudge" movies back to back like that, I'm sure not going to sleep in my apartment all alone...... eeeeiiiiiieee!!!

That girl and that little boy just freak me out!

Have a great weekend folks!

Oh and P.S.- Mets 1 Cards 0
GO METS!!

Edge of Madness (3)

It was SO dark in some of those hallways I had no idea where we were going. I have to admit, they had some good hiding spots too. I was fooled a couple of times as to where they might be. You'd see one up ahead and move away from him only to be snatched up by the one waiting for you on the other side of the room. Classic mis-direction! I loved it!

Edge of Madness (2)

This is actually a true story. Running into employee's outside of work is pretty common to me. Since we have almost 200 people working there (and tons who "used" to work there) it's not out of the ordinary when we bump into eachother. Seems like now-a-days I only run into employee's whenever I go out. Which makes me look popular or that I really have no life.... you decide.

Edge of Madness (1)

So last week one of my employee's, Dustin (also called "D-Money") Took me to the "Haunted Houses" park we have just outside of town. It was my first time ever to go and I had so much fun I thought I'd chronicle a few mis-adventures of what happened while I was there. Hope you enjoy!

How bout them Mets? My team's made it to the NLCS and face the Cardinals Wednesday. (I already know who the "Hitt-Clan" is rooting for) Let me add that not only did we sweep the Dodgers without our 2 best starting pitchers but we did it with some big hitters too! This next series should be a good one. Hopefully I'll be talking about their trip to the World Series next week! (fingers crossed)By the way, isn't it great how I've turned Mondays into "sports report" day? Like half of you even care right? Don't worry. I promise more comic strips starting again tomorrow. With excessive commentary on every one. Hope your weekend went well folks. Mine did!

Just a written post

This seems to be playing out to be everyone's favorite kind of post so I guess I'll just keep doing it like this every Friday until people get tired of it. (which should be any minute now....)

Work goes well. I'm on the hunt today for new employee's. I need to build up my team because as of right now I have the least amount of people out of all 6 teams! It's even going to get smaller when I fire a few more next Friday. (is that too cold-hearted to say?)

I can't help it though. The boss is mad I kept them this far. I just have to give people that one last chance to make it, you know? Anyway, if they can't cut it by next week (which sadly some are looking that way) I'll have to bring down the axe.

Having so much control over a job is never really something I thought I'd ever have. I mean, sure I'd get responsibilties but with my supervisor slowing stepping out of her position at work (she's pregnant and won't be back after the baby's born) that puts me directly over my team. I make the decisions, I make the rules, I get to run the team as I see fit.

Is there pressure? Oh yes. If I can't do my job successfully they'll put someone else in. If I do well? They'll promote me. Wild stuff man.

But what's truly odd about the whole thing is now I'M the boss. Stuff you'd usually partake in (i.e. practical jokes around the office) I have to frown on. I write them up if they come in late or do something else wrong. I even had to rat on a few fo them yesterday because I knew they were doing the wrong thing. Not fun folks.

You can be friends with these people, you just can't be their "friend". Like I can't hang out with them as much as I would if I was just a regular guy on the sales floor. Because then they want favors. Like leaving work early, or being able to skip a day so they can sleep in etc, ect... I've had that happen before and each time I've said "no" Then they play the whole "thought we were friends" card and try to convince me to change my mind. But it never works and they once again see me as just "the boss".

But I wonder what they say when I'm not around. "He doesn't understand how hard this is!" "What makes him so important!" You know, the kind of stuff we all say about our boss. (well sometimes)

Ok this post went way too long. Didn't even mean for it to go down this route but oh well. That's why blog's were originally made right? People post online diaries for strangers to read and hope they get interested with their modern day life.

That's why I like sticking to comic strips!

Have a good weekend folks!

Meet the Mets!

Well folks, the Mets are going to the playoffs so be sure to cheer for them this week as they go up against the Dodgers.
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I'm ready to role out week 2 of last weeks comic strip. I also have a pretty good one after that as well.
And yes, for those who do know a little about baseball. That's Jeremy's favorite player Julio Franco in the picture above. Guy's one of the oldest players in baseball right now and yesterday he drove in 6 RBI's. Amazing. Too bad he doesn't play for the Braves anymore eh bro?
